I would rather get out early and have more homework because we barely even have any as it is. If we get out early we would only have to do one or two pages. You would have free time to do anything you want.

I would rather get out early and have more homework because I do my homework fast and get it done on time.
Kaleb Hilton, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because then you would not have to do homework when you get home.

Mia Jerrell, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because I would like to be free from all homework. I don’t like homework. I’d be willing to have a longer school day to be without it.
Nathan Hughes, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because we students are here at school 8 hours a day. That is a lot of free time we could be at home doing what we want. If we are at school 8 hours we should be able to do all our work at school, but instead teachers give us stacks of homework! When students get home from school they’re harassed by their parents to do homework. After homework there is time left to do what we want.
Nicholas Kimberlin, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day with no homework. In math we have a homework grade, which I don’t have the best grade in. Having no homework would also make kids less stressed and want to learn even more.
Payton Eldridge, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day because when I get home I don’t want to do more schoolwork.
Preslei Chance, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because I would have less work and more time to relax. Yes, the school day would be longer but after school you go home and do whatever without having to worry about any work.
Raven Burgan, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather get out early and have more homework because I don’t struggle with school and I could have more me time. I would also like shorter classes. I think our classes are long enough. Maybe one day we’ll get shorter days.
Riley Harber, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather get out early and have more homework because I could do all my homework when I get home. Then I could spend more time with my parents. I could finally get all my chores done in time. That’s why I’d like to have shorter school days.
Shirley Washburn, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because we wouldn’t have to worry about homework. It would be the best thing ever in my book. I could do so much more with that time. I could go outside or play with my dogs and I would play more video games. A world without homework—how wonderful!
Sierra Woodard, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework because school is okay but the part I dread is the homework. I don’t care how long it takes as long as I don’t have homework. The only part I can wait on is going home and doing homework.
Taft Aldridge, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I would rather get out early and have more homework because I don’t want to be here any longer than what I have to be. We probably won’t have as much writing in class, as well. Even though I dislike homework, I would still rather not come to school as often.
Tanner Epperly, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

Miller Perry Elementary

I would rather have a longer school day for eight hours and dismiss at 4:30 I hate homework so much that is why I picked this I hate homework I mean so, so much you kind of already know that homework is boring to me it takes fun activities away from me including family time from me plus an extra 30 minutes to do my homework at school so I could do it before I leave to go home I would be proud.
Annie Walker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Homework stinks! I would much rather stay at school longer and have no homework. I would rather do that because I think homework takes away family time and fun activities. And we’ve been learning all day, no need to learn at home. At home we should learn to have fun and play and even do chores. That’s my opinion what’s yours?
Blake Frazier, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

What would you pick more school and no homework or get out of school early and have more homework? Read to find out what I would pick. I would pick more school and no homework. I feel like homework really holds me back. I also think of it like P.E., lunch, and recess take up half of the day. P.E., lunch, and recess are my favorite parts of the day. That’s why I would like more school and no homework over getting out early and having more homework.
Bo Burdine, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I would pick longer school day because you don’t do your homework like if you had 200,000 sheets you don’t do it but you learn about it in math reading and science. Then I could go home and play Fortnite because technically I will be learning.
Cameron White, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Would you rather get out of school early and have more homework or have a long day and have no homework. There will be alot of homework, but it fine. I don’t like homework but it will be fine. After you get done with your homework you can play Fortnite. Which one would you choose school early or long day.
Christian Young, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Would you rather have shorter school days and more homework or longer school days and no homework? I would pick shorter school days and more homework. I personally like homework. I want school to be shorter, and I want to go home and relax. I would rather have more homework and shorter school days.
Connor Bennett, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Would you rather stay at school a longer, and no homework, or stay a shorter time and more homework? I would stay a shorter time and more homework. If you would stay a longer at school you probably wouldn’t have time to do anything at all. If I stayed shorter I would do my homework and have the rest of the day to play video games or play outside! That would be the best! What would you do? That’s what I would do for sure.
Cooper Maness, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I would have to choose a longer school day and no homework and I have my reasons why. My 1st reason is that we can get longer playtime and you can spend more time with your friends. My 2nd reason is that I get to spend more time at related arts like P.E. My last reason is that I get to spend more time studying so I could get more A’s to make my parents happy. I hope you choose the same thing I choose or you can pick the other one.
Danny Tran, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I really want an earlier day of school. I don’t care about the extra homework. I will tell you. We would have more time to play, and homework is easy. More sunshine, and going to better parks. Summer would come faster. That is why earlier school would be better than longer days of school but no homework.
David Parker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Would you want longer or shorter school days? Most kids would say they want shorter school days but what if I told you if you have longer school days you would have no homework and if you had shorter school days you would have more homework then a normal school day! I would want longer school days so I have more time to study and get A’s. When we have longer school days we don’t spend a lot of time with your family but you spend more time with your friends. If we had longer school days we would have more time to do everything we are supposed to do. Even though we don’t have longer or shorter school days and we still have homework, having longer school days is my request.
Elyssa Rodefer, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

What would I do if I had the chance to pick between leave school early and have homework or leave school late and have no homework? I would pick leave school early. The reason is would pick this because homework only takes me like 30 min. And also if we left at 11:00 then I could do whatever to do at 11:30 like play Fortnite. That is what I would do if I got to pick.
Fletcher Henritze, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I like the thought of having my school day finished when I get off the school bus in the afternoon. In order to make that happen I must get my homework finished before I leave. It take me about and hour to get my homework. So if we stay until 4:30 in the afternoon we can get homework done before we leave the school. That way we have time to do all the fun stuff when we go home.
Gabriel Wingert, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

“School is out for today!” That is what I would hear every day early in the morning. Little school more homework is my jam. I’m better at homework than I am at school. That’s what I think anyway. I want school to be short and have more homework.
Gracie Stiltner, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I’d rather more school and no home work because who likes homework. If I asked ten people if they like homework, I bet all of them would say no! If you have extended school that would mean more recess and related arts. I would get to see my friends more often. The best thing is I’d get to be with the nicest teachers in the world. I like school, but not homework. These are the reasons why I would like more school and no homework.
Hayden Musick, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I think we all know that homework is boring agree, well that’s why I would rather have a longer school day than have a short one and have homework. I think homework is like prison because all you do is work. Homework also makes my hand hurt when I work too much. Homework also gets you from going outside and can’t be with family. This is why I would rather have longer school days.
Isaac McGee, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I HATE HOMEWORK! So I would rather have a longer school day. We don’t know how much longer it would be. It could just be five more minutes! Plus I will have no homework. So I can go home and flop into bed. I hate homework, so longer school days would be better for me.
Jack Litton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I would rather have a longer school day and have no homework and so I have nothing to do when I get home I can just go play football and that I would rather have no homework.
Jaxon McLellan, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Do you like school? I do. School is here to get a better education. I chose a longer day at school but no homework. I don’t like homework but I like school. That’s why I chose a longer day at school but no homework.
Jenna Fields, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I would rather have a longer school day and no homework. The reason is you have an extra hour of school. Which for me that would I get home at four o’clock. I’d make that extra hour be for recess. I think it would be easy to have a longer school day and no home work.
Julia Reeves, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could pick to change school I would extend school and not do homework. I would have longer recess, lunch, and gym. I could play basketball when I’m home instead of doing homework. I like my teachers very much that I would want to spend the most time with them that I can. I love school, but I hate homework! I hope you have the same opinion as me.
Kale Creech, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Wait, what? No HOMEWORK but longer school days. I choose this because you have less homework. Sad thing is that you have less time to play outside. That is why I would choose this.
Kyleigh Mitchell, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I would stay at school longer than leave early and get homework. The reason I say that is because I don’t like homework. It takes me along time to finish. Homework is the worst. That’s why chose to stay late and get no homework.
Lane Shaffer, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Would you rather stay at school longer and have less homework, or get out of school early and have more homework? I would rather get out of school early because I really need to get home as fast as I can so I can say hello to my dog. My dog always wants to see me so I have to get home quick! Who cares if I get more homework, getting more homework will help me learn more things. My main reason why I would want to get out of school early is because I want more homework! I know that sounds crazy, but I actually kind of love homework! What would you choose? When you figure it out, give me a text!
Lily Egbert, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers
