Hilton Elementary
I want a long day with no homework.
Siriana Davis,
Kindergarten, Hilton Elementary, Ms. Howe
I want lots of homework.
Elijah Vermillion,
Kindergarten, Hilton Elementary, Ms. Howe
I want a short day of school.
Owen Lane,
Kindergarten, Hilton Elementary, Ms. Howe
Short day with lots of homework.
Brylee Hall,
Kindergarten, Hilton Elementary, Ms. Howe
A short day of school with lots of homework because I
love homework.
Caroline Ratliff, Kindergarten, Hilton Elementary, Ms. Howe
I would rather get out of school early and have homework.
The reason is because I like homework, but I don’t like school. School is
boring but homework is fun because sometimes you get to color by numbers.
School is boring because all you do is really, really hard work. I love
homework but not school. That is why I picked this choice.
Anna Brinegar,
2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would rather have a longer school day and have no
homework. I would rather have a longer school day because I like reading. It
takes me 10 minutes to finish my homework. Homework takes too long to finish.
These are the reasons why I picked a longer school day and no homework.
Bryson Hughes,
2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would rather have a longer school day and have no
homework. I would rather do that because if you got out early you would have a
lot of work. You would have to take home a lot of work like math. You would
have a lot of homework to do. These are the reasons I would rather have a
longer school day and have no homework.
Hailey Hagy, 2nd,
Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
In school I would like long school days because no one would have any homework.
I like longer school days because if we don’t have homework, you can read and
maybe have a little fun. I love longer school days. You can read and take
quizzes to get 15 points. This is what I love about having longer school days.
Jacob Begley, 2nd,
Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would have a longer school day and no homework. I would
not like to have homework because it is boring. I hate homework a lot because
it is a waste of time. I would have a much longer day because I don’t like
homework. This is why I would like to have a longer school day.
James Osborne,
2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would want to have a longer school day and no homework
because I hate homework. If I had a longer school day but no homework, it would
be a good day at school. If that happened I would play all day at school. I
would play jumbo, jump rope, brain quest, and a lot of other games. These are
the reasons I picked a longer school day but no homework.
Kayllen Lane, 2nd,
Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would have an early dismissal and have homework. I’d
pick that because I like getting out early. I like getting out early because I
don’t have to do work. I also picked it because I like to do homework because
it tests your skills. That is why I choose to get out early and have homework.
Maddie Watts, 2nd,
Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
I would rather have a longer day of school and no
homework because you can work more and that will take care of our homework.
They can give you your regular work and then your homework. People who can’t do
their math can get more math for extra practice. The people who have been bad,
they can go to detention longer. That’s why I would rather have a longer day of
school.
Reese Stallard, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards
Jonesville Middle
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
I would want to be in school longer because I love school and I get to see my
friends and when I am at home I get bored. Another reason why I would want school
longer is because I get to see my favorite teachers Mrs. Satterfield and Mrs.
Austin and I can’t forget about lunch that is my favorite part of the day
because I get to relax and eat. The reason I would want no homework is because
we really only have homework in science and math and those are the subjects I
struggle with the most and I never really finish my homework. School will
always have homework because it is school you are supposed to have homework.
Adriane Moore,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
If I had the choice to choose a longer day at school but
no homework or a shorter day at school with more homework, I’d choose the
longer day with no homework. Homework is INCREDIBLY boring for me. ESPECIALLY
if it’s math homework. I really hate math class, I just don’t understand some
of the material, so it’s hard for me. It also really helps in sleep schedules
for kids. Since they may be busy, they may not have time to do the work and
have to stay up late.
Ashlee Clasby,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
Would you rather have a longer day of school and have no homework
or get out early and have more homework? I would want to have a longer day of
school and have no home work so when you get home you can do whatever you want
to do. On Fridays I will invite my friend over so I can have something to do.
On some Fridays if I make the team for the 8th grade Lee High school I’ll be
cheering.
Aubrey Malle, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
If I could pick between having a longer school day and having
no homework, or get out early and have more homework, it would be get out early
and have more homework. The reason I picked get out early and have more
homework was because, we already go seven hours a day and by that time I’m
ready to go home. If you get out early you should have plenty of time to do
your homework. All though it would be nice to have no homework, I will not go
any more than seven hours a day!
Bailie Hughes,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would you what a longer school day with no homework
because when you get home you can play games. Also so it doesn’t take up any
time what you are doing. At least you get to do something besides being bored
all day. You get to learn things that you don’t know.
Brandon West, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather the day be shorter and have more homework
because I can get my homework done fast then the rest of the day I can do
anything. I could practice shooting basketball and all types of different
things. I could also spend more time with my family. I would have more time to
relax and not be doing school work. I could also play Apex Legends with my
friends. Jace and I will get more time to get a win on Apex. This is why the
school day should be shorter.
Braylen
Pendergraft, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather get out early and have more homework
rather than going longer and having no homework. I would want to get out of
school early because if we get out late we would be getting home at 5 or 6
o´clock. After about 2 hours we would have to go to bed and do the same the
over again. I would be exhausted after Friday´s school day. Then, I would have
to play basketball all day Saturday and Sunday. After that I would have to wake
up early again and do the same thing over and over again each day. I would be
tired and exhausted the whole week. If we get out early we would have time to
do homework, play video games, and play basketball for a short period of time.
We could get a long nights rest and get up early for school. I won´t be
exhausted or tired for basketball on the weekend. In my opinion, I think we
should get out of school early and have more homework.
Brycen Coomer,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather go to school later. Then you can come home
and do whatever you want and have no homework. It would be nice to have no
homework forever but that’s never going to happen. No homework would be great
for a chance.
Cameron Mosley,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
If I got to choose to get a shorter day and more homework
or longer day and no homework. I would choose shorter cause I could go home and
play Apex legends and then I would wanting school to get off at 12:00 pm. But I
would take maybe take homework from Mrs. Satterfield, Mrs. Roop and Mrs. Austin.
Chandler Skaggs,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework
because homework takes your time away so you can’t go outside and play much.
When I get home I go straight and do my homework I could go straight outside
and play with my family. I love school but I don’t like homework, but math
homework I rather not do. Science homework and reading homework, but math and
history is hard to do. This is why I’d rather have a rather have a longer
school day and no homework.
Charisa Moore,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
In my opinion, I would want a longer school day and no homework.
I chose this because I don’t want homework. Homework is just not good plus you
maybe have a lot to do and home is a place to live not school. I know homework
teaches you more but, family is more important but, in the real world homework
is allowed and no one can change the law.
Chase Weston, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
I would only want it to be longer but not too much longer. I would have more
time for after school activities without having to worry about homework not
getting done.
Claira Cox, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather go to school longer and have no homework.
The reason is I would have time to spend with my family and play outside. If
you think about it you would have about the same time on a regular school day
but you would not have to worry about homework. That is why I wish we went to
school longer and have no homework.
Elijah Stafford,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day so I don’t have
any homework. I don’t like homework. I would not like to have lots of homework
because it takes too much time. So I would rather have a longer day.
Glocklyn Morris,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework,
because we would probably only get to go to school for 2 days in a week and get
all the rest of the time off.
Grant Howell, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
Would you rather have a longer schools day and no
homework or get out of school early and get more homework I would rather get
off of school early and get more homework because I don´t care for homework
that much. I don´t like homework but I hat school the most so I would rather
have more homework.
Hannah Cowan, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no home work
than get out early and have more homework. Why I would have a longer school day
and no home work is because I do bad on homework I forget to do it or I lose it
and if I do turn it in I make a bad grade most of the time. I don’t learn anything
from it. And that is why I would have a longer school day with no
homework.
Jace Keene, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day because no
homework means I don´t have to do what I should be doing at school at my house.
I think that they should make school longer so we can do homework in class even
my math and science teacher let me do it in class if we have time. My reading
teacher gives us spelling and goes around the room asking us them and if I need
help with homework I can go to any of my teachers.
Jacob Snodgrass,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
It would be awesome if we didn’t have homework. I actually like school. I like
school because I can see all my friends. Longer school bays would be fine. I
wouldn’t mind. The bad thing about that though is that you would have to go to
bed earlier than you do now. That’s my opinion.
Jaycee Parks, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
Would I rather stay longer at school and have no homework
or get out early and have more homework. I would rather get out early and have
more homework. You and your family can help with the homework page. If it does
not take long you can go outside and do something. I like school but I would not
stay longer then I have to. It would be the same if you stay longer at school
you will haft to do work there all day. This was my choice if I wanted to have
more homework or stay at school longer and this is what I picked.
Jayme Livesay,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
Do you think that there should be more school with no
homework or less school with more homework? I would like more school with no
homework. Cause I do not like homework. Cause I would get to play Fortnite.
John Carter, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
Why, because I love school and the teachers and students here. The only part
about school I don’t like is having to wake up early. I’d rather spend time
with my family than do homework while I’m home. When it’s summer toward the end
of the school year I forget about my homework. Why, because I’m either playing
outside with my siblings or hanging out with mom, dad, and my papaw also we go
a lot of places during the summer. We also have a pool and that’s the first
thing I go to after school. My brothers and sisters and I swim together. If
we’re at home that’s what you’ll find us doing unless it’s a rainy and stormy
day. That’s the reasons I would like to have a longer school day and no
homework.
Johnna Bledsoe,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
If I had a choice of a shorter school day with more
homework or a longer school day no homework, I would chose a shorter school day
with more homework. I would chose the shorter school day because I will be like
you’re in public school and your home schooled. I also think it will be easier
to focus at your house than school. I think it will be easier with a shorter
school day and more homework.
Julia Britton,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I don´t like homework. I don´t like school but have I
ever had a school day with some school but we have a lot of home work or a very
long day with no home work. I would go to a day with a long school day and no
home work.
Justin Franklin,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework.
Besides it´s daylight savings time and it does not end until November 3rd so
who would not want a homework free day. If you leave school early and then have
homework the teacher cannot explain it to you and you will not have a very
pleasant grade. Also With a longer school day you can hang out with your
friends more. A lot of the students in school make my day every day and I do
not know what I would do without them.
Justina Lowder,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather get out early and have extra homework. I
can finish my homework very fast and still get a good grade. Plus it’s usually
pretty easy, if I pay attention in class. I would be able to have fun all day.
It would be amazing!
Kylah Parsons,
5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
If I had the choice of a longer day of school with less
work or a shorter day with more work I would a shorter day. I would choose a
shorter day because family means a lot to me but I’m never home to see them.
You see my mom works the night shift which means she is gone when I get home.
And plus I get done with work really quick. So if I was home earlier I would be
able to spend time with them.
Laila Fritts, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
I would rather have a longer school day and no homework
because it would help people who have trouble learning. Also I would get no
homework. Also it would give me something to do. That’s why I would rather have
a longer school day and no homework.
Logan Lester, 5th,
Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin
