A fun day off from school is when you are outside in the heat and you are in water having fun. It makes you feel better after being in the hot sun. It is one of the best things to do on a hot day. You can play games with your friends or whoever is with you. The water is not cold since it is so hot and the sun has been shining directly on it all day. It is my favorite thing to do on a day off from school.
Braylen Pendergraft, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

We had a day off from school and my dad and I went to play golf. Golf is one of my favorite sports and I love playing it. I love hitting the ball as far as I can hit it. The feeling of making a long putt to beat my dad on the first hole really gets me going. Golf is a slow sport and takes time to play but it seems like you fly through the holes because it is so fun to play. Golf is one of the hardest sports to play. Golf is a fun sport to play if you have nothing else to do and you want to get out of the house.

Yesterday my dad, papaw, my papaw’s friend, and I went to White Rock. We also went to Sand Cave and we drove a side-by-side. We all most flipped it over and one of the mirrors broke off and one of the fans broke off also. I got to play in a creek. My papaw and his friend got stuck in a water hole and we had to pull them out with a winch. That was my best day ever.
Bryson Kelly, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

When I am off from school I usually play Fortnite all day. I usually take 2 or 3 breaks then I get back on. It’s probably not the healthiest thing to do but it’s a fun way to spend a day off from school.
Cameron Mosley, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day off from school for some people would be going to Just Jump or Dollywood, but a fun day off from school for me is waking up and eating breakfast with my family and then playing video games. Then my mom asked if we were bored and if we wanted to go to the movies and normally I said yes. So we start getting ready and I asked my mom since we’re going to the Pinnacle if we could go to Just Jump. She said yes and then we went. When we got there we ate Zaxby’s and then we went to Just Jump. It was amazing! Dodge ball, jump pads, and a foam pit; it was fun. My brother ended up going there with us but he only had 20 minutes because he was at his nana’s. But after he came we went to the movies and watched Pet Sematary. I have nightmares now.

One day that was fun on spring break was on Saturday. My mom and I went to church for our Easter egg hunt. I found 20 eggs and it was very fun. Then Miley, Megan, and I rode together to go to the nursing home. We made Easter baskets and made bunnies out of wash cloths, and we put fortune cookies in them. We made cards and put hearts on them and wrote inside of them. We put all of the things in little bowls that we colored and decorated. There are 102 people at the nursing home and that is how many bowls we had to make. When we got to the nursing home the people there were so happy and loved them. After that we went to McDonald’s and ate. When I got done eating I got dessert and I got iced coffee with Cool Whip and caramel on top of it. Then after we ate we went to my mammaw’s to have Easter dinner. My aunt Lisa got me 2 phone cases that have glitter on them and they sparkle. Then when we got home we walked in the woods and found 17 mushrooms all together. Then when we got back home my mother made brownies with almonds and I drank milk with it and it was delicious. I love spring break and these are a couple things that I did that were fun.

One fun day I had off of school I went Dollywood with my best friend Elijah. That day I went to Dollywood and I had a blast. The first thing I did that day was ride Wild Eagle twice. That was my favorite ride. The next thing I did was ride Drop Line. After that I can’t remember what I did but I’m sure I had a lot of fun. That is one of the fun days I had off of school.
Chase Pearce, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If there was a day off from school, I would look up local black court basketball tournaments and go to one that lasts the whole day. Black court tournaments are basketball tournaments that you play on concrete or rock and the basketball is not a real game ball. It’s a street ball, the ones that are colored. The court can be colored too. I just hope there is a day off from school because I really want to go to one.
Chase Weston, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

My fun day off from school is going to the park and spending some time with my family. I would want to go to Tennessee to see my maw maw, aunt, uncle, cousins, and pop pop. During the summer I would want to go to Pigeon Forge and go to Dollywood, Splash Country, and Wonder Works.
Cheyenne Helbert, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I had a fun day off from school. My family watched movies and ate popcorn. We watched Lilo and Stitch and Moana. We also went out to eat and went to stores. We all had fun. Easter Sunday my sister and I wore our Easter dresses. We had so much fun. Skyler climbed the monkey bars. I helped her climb them. That’s what I did this Easter.
Chloey Parks, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I had a fun day off from school when I went to Pigeon forge and spent three nights. While we were there we went to a whole bunch of stores and got shoes, candy, toys, and clothes. We also rode the Jurassic Park water ride which was my favorite. We also went to The Island and Build-a-Bear Workshop.
Claira Cox, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I had a day off of school I would go to Kings Island, have fun with my family, do all kinds of stuff, and have a lot of fun there.
Collyn Neff, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day I had when I was off school was when I went to Dollywood with Chase. We rode on the 3 fastest rides in the park. Tennessee Tornado, Lightning Rod, and Wild Eagle. My personal favorite is Wild Eagle; it goes 63 miles per hour. Lightning Rod is the fastest wooden roller coaster in the world! We rode Wild Eagle 3 times because it was so fun. That is what my favorite day off from school is.
Elijah Stafford, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

The most fun day I had off school was spring break. It was so much fun. We had a dinner with family and friends. We went to my grandmother’s house and had lots of fun.
Glocklyn Morris, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

There was a very fun day off from school one time. It was raining very hard that day. My mom and dad were at work and I was home alone. The thing I liked about that day was that it was very comfortable because I had my robe on, I had hot chocolate, I was in a comfortable blanket, and I was on my phone watching YouTube and Netflix. It was a very comfortable day for me. Any day off from school is good for me, but this was the best one.
Grant Howell, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day off school is going to Miami, Florida. I love the beach. I love playing in the sand and in the water. And I love pranking my family. When I pranked them I dug under their towel and let them fall in the hole. I love the beach.
Gunner Nelms, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I had a fun day off of school I would want to go to Universal. I have never been to Universal but I would like to go to Universal. My cousins have been to Universal and I would like to go there. The next place I would like to go if I had a day off of school is Europe because I have wondered what it would be like to go to Europe. My friends say it’s really pretty and fun and I would really like to go to Europe. I would really like to go to all of the places.
Hannah Cowan, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

Easter was not that fun except when I got to find a golden egg. It was really hard because it was right there under a piece of metal and it was not supposed to be there and a dollar was in it. So then I find it and have to go up to the porch. I even got a 2 chocolate eggs and 1 little rabbit. Jayden got a big one. She helped clean the house. I had a really fun time. Hope you did too.
Hiram Head, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I think that a fun day off from school would be going to Dollywood. At Dollywood you can go on water rides, roller coasters, and more. My two favorite rides are Daredevil Falls and Blazing Fury. It is very fun at Dollywood. There is a small old town full of old cars and restaurants. Dollywood has a lot of stores full of cool stuff and a train.
Jace Keene, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

For my spring break I went and got a lead strip and put it on my ATV and rode around. I played with my friend Jace on Fortnite. We got a win. He has a raging pillow so he doesn’t break his mic. We went to my mamaw’s house and then we went home and I had to go to bed because I have school.
Jacob Snodgrass, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day off from school would be 42 wins in a row in Fortnite.
James Heud, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I would describe a fun day off of school like this. Say it was summer time and you had a day off. It would be so hot. This is what my family did one day last summer. We made a homemade slip ‘n’ slide. My pappaw pulled the water hose over there to the slip ‘n’ slide and got it all wet. Then he was joking and sprayed all of us. He told my mammaw to go get the baby oil so he could rub us down with it. Then we had some fun. We were all soapy after we were done. Then we ate fudge pops outside. That’s how I would describe the fun we would have.
Jaycee Parks, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One of the fun days off from school was when we went to a pageant in Gatlinburg. It was not really a day off from school. I left school Thursday after school. I listened to music on the way to Gatlinburg and we stopped at Texas Road House to eat. When we got there I ate a snack and we went swimming. The pageant was also fun but I think swimming was the best. This is my fun day off from school.
Jayme Livesay, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

My family and I went to Myrtle Beach for vacation. I had the softest bed and I even had a TV in my room. We rode the elevator up to our room. I still remember our room number, it was 487. We swam in the pool but I went into the hot tub first thing. My sister had her birthday there. My sister and I were so excited. The funny part is that my mom and I play tennis and I hit a car on accident.
John Carter, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day I have experienced off from school is when we spent three nights in Pigeon Forge. We stayed in a hotel. We went to Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Ripley’s Aquarium. We also went to ride some go-karts and went to Clingmans Dome. It was a lot of fun. My sister and I got henna tattoos. We also shopped at some shops. My sister and mother rode the skyscraper. We had a lot of fun. Those are my days full of fun.
Johnna Bledsoe, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

When I had a day off from school I did something fun. I decided to ask my mom if I could go to Maw Maw’s house and she said yes. When we arrived at Maw Maw’s house, I went up to the door and knocked. Instead of Maw Maw opening the door, my dad opened it. I said, “Hello.” My dad said hello back. I saw Maw Maw cooking hamburgers. I went up to her and said, “Hello”. And I also said, “Those hamburgers are looking good”. I knew this was going to be the best day ever.
Joseph Horner, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

My fun day off was when we got off for spring break. The reason why I had fun on spring break is because I got to spend it with my family. The other reason is I got to go fishing with my family on spring break.
Joseph Sutphin, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

It will be a fun day off from school to be at the pool because my dog always gets in the pool and it is pretty funny. We have our very own so we don’t have to pay at all. I also like to go to the parks because we like to go to the parks so much. I like it and we like to try it so much and we just talk and talk about it so much. I like when my dog tries to talk to me. We like when my dog is trying to talk and let’s hope that my dog will not talk at all. I like to go to the amusement park and my mom will get scared. I am happy that I can do what I like to do and it is fun too.
Katelynn Taylor, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day off from school is visiting my cousin or going to the water park. If I went to my cousin’s house we would play outside. When he takes his nap you would go to the nearby mall. If we went to the water park my sister and I would ride the rides and maybe ride our favorites again and again. It would take us hours to do them all. The bad part about going to visit my cousin is they live 5 hours away from us.
Kennedy Garrett, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One day when I’m off of school, I will have so much fun. My parents, my little sister, and I would get up at 5:00 am and get ready. At 6:30 am we would leave. We would go get breakfast. Around 8:30 am we would go to Just Jump and play around. At 12:00 pm we would go get lunch. At 1:30 pm we would go shopping, get our hair and nails done, and go see a movie. At 7:30 pm we would go get dinner. After dinner we would return home. It would be such a fun day!
Kylah Parsons, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I were to describe a fun day off from school I would say 4-H camp. It was such a fun experience. I took three classes: Volleyball, Center Stage, and Camp Paparazzi. I had so much fun and I made a lot of new friends. I am for sure going again this year, and I would say if you are not used to being away from home 4-H will be the best place to start.
Laila Fritts, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

The most fun thing I did over spring break was go to Dollywood. I rode all of the rides except the kid rides. And we went to my favorite restaurant.
Landon Deirth, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A fun day off of school for me would be going to Dollywood and riding the rides, playing games, eating the food. Also I would swim in the pool at the hotel. Also I could enjoy my time in the hotel because I could have some peace somewhere different than home. That’s what a fun day off school is to me.
Logan Lester, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

On my spring break off of school, I had a lot of fun on Sunday. We went fishing and I caught 9 fish: 1 wide mouth bass and 8 blue gill. And that is what I call fun in the country.
Matthew Thomas, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

Fishing with my family. It is just so fun and relaxing. The fun part about it is catching a fish and showing everybody the fish you caught. The relaxing part about it is listening to the water flow by.
Matthew Willis, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

When I was off from school I went to Pigeon Forge and I did lots of fun stuff there. I thought it was fun because there were Ferris wheels and swimming pools and museums there. Race tracks, and go-karts that you drive. There are lots of other stuff. Theaters and I like to see lots of stuff. I think that is a fun day out from school.
