My best friend is Berkley and she is the greatest friend ever. The things that I like most about her are that she is funny, athletic, smart, and pretty. She doesn’t make new memories with me, she lives my memories. She is always by my side and gives me a shoulder to cry on when I need it. When I think of Berkley I think of not just a best friend, but a sister. She never leaves my side and that’s what a true friend is. Even though I’m crazy she still chooses to be seen in public with me.
Briana Combs, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend’s name is John. Something I like about him is how funny he is. When I’m around him, he always makes a joke to make me laugh. He’s also understanding. He’s always willing to lend a hand when someone needs it. Overall though, he is an amazing person and a great friend.
Caleb Smithson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend is Trent. I’ve known him for a while. I like how he is chill and funny because if you make a joke he won’t go off on you. He also makes jokes and makes me laugh. He also laughs at his own jokes. He and I like basketball and football so we usually play when I come over. That is my friend Trent and what I like about him.
Carmine Parson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of my friends is Zoey. There are many things about her I like but there is this one thing that sticks out the most. When she knows that someone is good at something, like sports or school, and the other person doesn’t think so she will push them and tell them they are good at it. She is the one that told me I was good at softball and basketball. I didn’t think I was and she kept telling me I am and to tryout and I did. So, if it wasn’t for her I would never have tried out.
Chelsea Woods, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend is Luz. She is always there for me when I need it. Even though we fight a lot I still love her and she will always be my best friend. I know that it’s hard for someone to be my friend because I’m crazy and annoying but Luz—she can put up with me in any occasion and that’s what I like most about her. I hope I never lose my best friend.
Chloe Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend I’ll be writing about is Gage. The reason I chose Gage is because he has been my friend since 1st grade and 1st to 7th grade is a long time. The things I like most about him is he can sound serious but he never means anything because when he is lying he laughs. And another thing is he is very funny and at least makes everybody in the class laugh.
Christian Ridgely, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of my best friends is Jordan. Jordan has been my friend for as long as I can remember. He is one of the kindest people I know and is also very funny! He’s always been there for me and gives very good advice. That’s why he’s such an amazing friend.
Clay Sherfey, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend I want to write about is Luke. Luke and I do Boy Scouts together. We always sleep in the same tent when we go camping. We also take a lot of the same merit badge classes and we have a lot of fun. When I ran for SPL and won I chose him for my ASPL. We are currently planning our trip to go on a camping/canoeing/fishing trip on the lake and are planning on going to Camp Davy Crockett for one week. We are also planning on taking a sailing class.
Clayton Carr, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend Dalton is awesome and my best friend. What I like most about him is he is cool, awesome, and fun. When I want to talk to him, he and I talk. Dalton and I have this little game he and I play. He hunts, fishes, and more. He is fun to be around. Dalton and I have fun joking around but I try not to make him mad because he will get really mad if you make him aggravated.
Dakota Carrier, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend that I will be writing about is Blake. The reason for this is he does parkour with me and we have basically everything in common except he likes Fords and I like Chevys. He was even with me when I hunted my first squirrel. We also play video games together. We have each other’s backs no matter what. We have also run into a tree on a bicycle and we had to jump in the water to get a minor trap because Blake forgot to tie the rope to the tree.
Dalton Gorley, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend Jade is one of my best friends even though we haven’t met face to face. She always helps me feel better when I’m feeling down and I help her when she feels bad. It’s always great when we’re able to talk because she is someone who will listen to what I have on my mind and not make fun of me for anything. I’m glad that I have her as my friend.
Darren Harless, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend’s name is Julius. He is my best friend. I met Julius in 5th grade and we just became friends from there on out. I even one day decided to call him family. But one day I came home from school in the 7th grade and a black car pulled up outside. We were sat down on the couch (my brother and me) and were told that we had to live with complete strangers. I had disappeared from school. Everyone thought I moved but then I had a chance and took it. The kid I was living with let me use his phone. The first person I texted was Julius. The thing I really like about Julius is he’s there for you and he was in this situation. Even me being in Greeneville and him in Bluff City. This is a true story I had to live through for 5 months.

What I like most about Jack is that he is always in my corner. He’s always supportive of any decision I make. He’s always a very positive person and I’m not so it helps keep a balance. He knows how to push me out of my comfort zone. I also like that he lets me call him Bestie Jack. Thank you Jack for bringing happiness into my life.
Emily Childress, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My best friend Chloe is my only best friend. What I like most about Chloe is that she is very positive about everything and everything she does. Chloe has always been there for me no matter what, even through thick and thin. I don’t know what I would do without Chloe. Also, April—she is amazing. The way she handles things is what I like most about her.
Emma Saxton, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I have a friend named Drew and he’s the best friend I’ve ever had. Not only is he really nice about letting me play his Xbox One which is a gaming console and I don’t have one, he also invited me to go hiking with him and I had a blast. After that time he invited me to go with him to Carowinds, an awesome amusement park. That’s my friend Drew and why I like him so much.
Gabe Holcomb, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I’m going to write about my friend Luz and what I like about her. The thing I like about Luz is that she’s very nice and all around is a good and fun person to talk to when you’re sad. She helps people with problems and makes them laugh while doing so. She’s kind, funny, and really smart too. She brings a smile to my face when we talk and always finds a way to make me laugh.
Gabriel Farley, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Here is what I like the most about Billy. He is funny, kind, and always happy. This is why I like those attributes of his. I like that he’s funny because he tells good jokes and makes me laugh. I like that he’s kind because that makes him a very good person. His best attribute is his happiness. Always being happy is good and he can cheer people up. That is the conclusion on what do you like the most about a friend.
Gage Southern, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend Trevor is an amazing friend. He is really nice to me and others. He doesn’t act like a jerk when he disagrees with me. We both are athletic and enjoy sports. He is a great friend.
Gavin Roberts, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Is a boyfriend considered a friend? Because if it is, it’s Colten, my boyfriend. He loves me, he asks if I’m alright when I’m sad and even does little cute things to cheer me up. He makes me smile. I love him and we will be together 8 months next month. Our anniversary of when we got together is September 27, 2018. So yeah, he’s my best friend and boyfriend and he’s a very good one. My other best friend is an 8th grader named Alyssa. She lets me listen to music on her phone when we are on the bus. She steals my fluffy blue jacket and falls asleep on my shoulder. She’s my best friend.
Gracie Perry, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend is Zander. What I like most about him is his energy that never seems to run out. Zander always has a smile on his face, no matter what.
Grant Giles, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I do not have just one best friend. My best friends are John and Alex. I have known John since pre-kindergarten and Alex since kindergarten. That’s nearly a decade! My favorite thing about John and Alex are the experiences we’ve shared. We all went bowling together one time and instead of displaying John’s name, the screen showed “Jhon.” Because of this, Alex and I call him “Jhon.”
Jack Ragan, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend I’m going to write about is Katelynn. What I like most about Katelynn is that she is always here for me when I need her. She has my back no matter what. She is just an all-around good person to be around. Katelynn is the friend I turn to when I need one.
Jacob Johnson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I will write about Owen. What I like about him is he is funny and he is the nicest friend I know. His dad was my first wrestling coach and his mom makes some of the best cakes I have ever seen. His older brother Avery gives him a hard time and his dog Meatloaf is awesome too. I went to his house and we had an awesome time together.
Jacob Turpin, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend Drew is always great to be around. Drew is funny and is always showing me new games to play. He is great at the games he plays even if he’s just started playing them. Drew is always helping me get better at games and showing me new ways to play. I think the thing I like most about him is that he is funny. All the time I’m around him he shows me funny videos and is making jokes.
James Cross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of my best friends is Jack. I’ve known Jack for a long, long time—since like, pre-k. Jack is both funny and smart, and a great guy in general. We both have a common interest in comic books, Star Wars, and much more. My favorite thing about Jack is the fact that he can turn the worst days into the best days. He can also make you laugh so hard milk comes out of your nose. He was also a great friend to my friend Drew. It used to be him, Jack, and me. That was our little group from pre-k to 6th grade. It was us against the world.
John Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

A friend is someone who is always there for you through the good times and the bad. Friends are people you hang out and spend most of your time with. Your friends should always have your back no matter what. What I like about friends the most is the fun times, the jokes, and the “you have my back” moments.
Kaden Ward, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I have a friend. She doesn’t go to this school anymore but we have been friends for a while. What I like about her is that she is funny. She makes me laugh. We have fun times together when we are hanging out or on the phone. She helps me when I need help. We are there for each other when we need it. Her name is Brooke.
Kailee Gross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend I will write about is Trent. The reason is because he is a caring friend. Well, I mean all of my friends are. It’s just Trent and I don’t get into a lot of arguments or get mad at each other easily. He doesn’t make fun of me. He just stands out more than the others. He’s nice and he doesn’t give me attitude like others may. I am not saying that the rest of my friends are bad. They’re nice and all. It’s just he stands out from the crowd.
Kase Newman, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I have many amazing friends and they all make me happy. One friend is different from them all. Brave, funny, and relatable—Anna stands out. We have so many memories together. We laugh so much and just enjoy the little things together.
Katelyn Jones, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My best friend’s name is Sandi. We used to go to the same elementary school and still go to the same church camp. She is really nice and generous and has a hilarious sense of humor. She runs cross country and does gymnastics. Sandi is an awesome person to be around and one heck of a friend.
Katelyn McGlothlin, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Zander—a very interesting man but I’m glad to be able to call him my friend. The thing I like most about Zander is how trustworthy he is. He may act silly, but in the end I always know he’s got my back. Zander is also very funny, energetic, brave, trustworthy, and in his words “savage.” I have lots and lots of memories with Zander and I hope I never lose those memories. I’m extremely lucky to have Zander as a friend.
