I have many friends. When it comes to talking about one it’s hard to choose. This is the one I would choose: Jenna! She is really funny and random (with her humor of course). She draws too. She calls herself a “Midget” from time to time. We both like baby animals A LOT! I’m pretty sure she likes Disney. Anyhow, we’re good friends. She’s been my friend since I transferred to our school. Who is your best friend?
Shaelagh Durland, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

My best friend is Bo. We are a lot alike. We both have blonde hair and hazel eyes. He loves LeBron James. He also likes Allen Iverson. We both love basketball. We also have a sleepover like every weekend. We are even friends on PS4. Those are some things about my best friend Bo.

My favorite friend is Matthew. He is my best friend. Matthew plays a lot outside with his brother and me. His qualities are he is funny, kind, and he knows a lot of stuff for a 9-year-old. He will invite me over any time he can. We have lots of fun together.
Titus Hobbs, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

My favorite friend is Cooper because he is nice and he is fun to play with. I first met him my first year in coach pitch. He played infield and I played outfield. My brother and Cooper’s sister play baseball together and I got to see Cooper there too. Once I went to see my brother play and Cooper went to see his sister play and his sister and my brother went to the same place so he and I got to play together. Who is your favorite friend? You now know who mine is.
Trever Keith, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I have a friend named Sharlotte. She is so funny, kind, and awesome. Her nickname is Chicken because she acts like it. We have been friends for six years. She is such an amazing friend. Now, that’s a best friend.

The thing I like most about Joseph is that he is funny. I picked Joseph because he can make me laugh. On my birthday, he made everybody laugh because he tripped on a trampoline. At recess he fell into a puddle on accident and made me laugh. These are the reasons I picked Joseph.
Bryson Hughes, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards

The thing I like most about my friend Trevor is he is nice. He’s funny. His drawings are so silly. He’s silly because he talks like a dog. He says “cat” in a funny way. This is why I wrote about Trevor.
Hunter Salyer, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards

The things I like most about Maddie is she is sweet. When I am sad she cheers me up. She is sweet because when someone is hurt she comes over to the teachers and helps them. She lets other people join her game when they don’t have any friends. This is why Maddie is my best friend.

If I had to choose a friend it would be Isabella for her sweetness. I pick Isabella because she is kind and she helps when they need it. When she passes by she says hello. If it is someone she knows she hugs them. She also plays with people when they need friends or someone to play with. That is why I chose Isabella.
Maddie Watts, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards

The thing I like most about Hailey is she is helpful. She is helpful because she helps me clean up the floor. If there is trash all over the floor she helps everybody clean it up. She picks up the pencils, trash, and crumbs. She cleans it up with everybody so Mr. David doesn’t have to. That’s what I like the most about Hailey.

Holston Valley Middle

The friend that I am writing about would help sometimes. The friend’s name is Gabe. He would help on stuff that I didn’t understand. When he needs help I help him. When we both need help we help each other.
Aaron Robertstack, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend I am going to write about is Ruby. What I like most about her is that we can tell each other anything. I know I can trust her and she knows she can trust me. I like to tell her what is wrong and when I am upset she is always by my side and I am always by hers. I love all of my friends. They are all like sisters to me.
Aaryanna Cross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

What I like most about Kailee is she’s kind, funny and very helpful through hard times. Right now I am going through a really hard time with my grandma and she is always there to comfort me. I call her my puppy dog because she follows me around, but she is always there when I need her. Kailee and I have been friends for over a year and a half. Each time I tell her I need to talk she will listen and try to help me. She is my best friend.
Alexus Stuart, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Out of my many amazing friends there is one person that makes everyone’s day better; she is kind and funny. Her name is Katelyn. The day feels dry without her and she makes everything more fun.
Anna Campbell, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

This guy JV is my closest friend. He was the first one to talk to me at my old school, Anderson Elementary. He likes some of the same things I do. He was a true friend that never turned his back on me. That is my friend.
Anthony Harley, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would pick Emma because Emma and I are close friends. And what I like the most about her is her personality and the times I’m not happy she always makes me laugh. And also I can talk to her about anything and she is always there for me when nobody else is. She is like a sister to me. And the reason why I would pick her is because she always is nice to me and we both are always there for each other. And another friend I would choose is Kailee because at the beginning of the year we weren’t that close as friends but now we are. She’s been there for me too. Those are my two closest friends.
April Odum, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of my closer friends is Caydance, a nice, tall (kind of), caring, knowledgeable, and understanding 8th grader that also attends Holston Valley Middle School. Caydance has helped me through thick and thin. Through times that were rough and times that might have been too much. I have enjoyed the time I have spent with her and I hope that high school is great for her. I know that next, next year I will be seeing her though it will feel like I lost a part of me for a short amount of time. She is my superstar on the field and court, but outside of that she is like a sister—even though she really isn’t blood related. I am still here for her and she is still here for me.
Berkley Helbert, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

The friend that I choose would be Gage. Some of the reasons I chose Gage is because he’s nice and he always has my back when I need him. He is funny. For example, I could be sad and Gage would be the one that makes me laugh. He can be mean but I know he’s just messing with me. So, I would say that he is most likely my best friend and I can trust him.
Billy Parker, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My friend is Levi. He’s a good friend and always supports me, unlike other people. He is pretty funny but not annoying.
Blake Hayes, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor
