When I did something I was proud of it was changing a dirty diaper. It was disgusting. I hated it. Yes, I am proud of myself for it but it was not fun doing it but I did it and yes I am very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very proud of myself and this is the something I did for my mommy.
Annie Walker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

He shoots! He scores! A time when I was proud of myself was when I helped my basketball team win our first game. I was really proud of myself and my teammates gave me high fives. Everyone in the crowd cheered for me. We won that game by two points and if I didn’t score those two points we would have gone into overtime. That’s probably a memory I will never forget.
Ashton Templeton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I am proud of helping my dad and helping my friend. What I did to help my friend was I took up for her. Someone was being mean to her so I stopped the person who was being mean to her. I was really proud of myself when I did something on the basketball court. I accidentally tripped a kid. Read to find out what I did. My basketball team, the Rebels, were playing the Legacy. I made the first points of the game—it was a three pointer. I almost made a half-court shot. Then I accidentally tripped a kid, but I have good sportsmanship and helped him up. This is what I’m really proud of.
Bo Burdine, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I was really proud when I jumped off a cliff at Devil’s Den. I jumped 10 feet high in the air. It was my first time so I was pretty scared. So I did a back flip in the air and I fell 10 feet. When I hit the water it was so fun!! I immediately wanted to do it several times.
Cameron White, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If you want to know a time when I was proud of myself, it was at the 4-H speech contest. I was just a little nervous. I went up there first, and gave my speech. After me other people gave their speeches. When they were done the judges handed out the awards. I came in 4th place. After that I felt really proud of myself.
Connor Bennett, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Want to know what I’m proud of? Well you will have to wait, and find out. I’m proud of shooting a deer for the first time. I’m not proud of when the first deer came up, and my dad said I could shoot it. I couldn’t find it in the scope. I was so excited when I shot my first deer. That’s what I’m proud of.
Cooper Maness, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Something crawls on my arm, its hairy, has 8 legs, has fangs with eight eyes, and I think it is a tarantula. I open my eyes with fear and my heart is racing and then I saw what I was holding, it may scare you, which was a tarantula. The place I went to hold this tarantula was at University of Texas at El Paso. When holding a tarantula I kind of loved holding it somehow which was a cool thing to do. I hope one day you will hold a tarantula like I did which is something I was proud of myself.
Danny Tran, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The time I was proud wasn’t too long ago. I was proud when I first had a tomato. I had it on a Pal’s hamburger and it tasted like I was in dream. It gave a nice sweet and juicy texture that tasted better than everything else on the burger. This is the reason why that made me proud.
