MOUNT CARMEL ELEMENTARY

When I felt proud is when taught my pet cat Scarlet. I felt proud because I always wanted a pet cat. I was proud when I taught my pet cat how to climb a ladder. I love to play with my pet cat. Those are some of the times I was proud.

I am going to tell you about my team the Wildcats. My team has eight players on it. We use team work to win. We pass the ball to each other so everyone can shoot. I hope you enjoyed my story about my basketball team. Being on the Wildcats team makes me proud.
Danni Guinn, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Short

I was proud of myself when I was playing my first sport. I was happy because I did not like being around other people but I did it anyway. I was proud because I thought I was good. I liked it too because being a runner was my favorite part. I am proud of myself a lot but I liked this one best. It was hard at first but it got better and better until I played outdoor soccer. We didn’t win that time but I can play again though.
Maxx Ball, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Short

I am going to tell you three things about being proud of myself. I got Clay’s folder for him. I helped my mom mop the floor. I cleaned my room when my dad told me. That is three things about being proud of myself. I like helping other people.

This is a time I felt proud. A long time ago I scored a goal in a soccer game. I felt so proud. It turns out it was the winning goal! My teammates threw me up in the air. Even though it was a long time ago I remember it so well. That was a time when I felt really proud of myself!
Sophia Horton, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Short

I felt proud on February 9th because I made 3 of the shots in basketball. One of my teammates passed me the ball, I dribbled down the court, and made it. The 2nd time a friend passed me the ball and shot and scored .The 3rd time my friend passed me the ball and then I passed it back. Then they passed it back to me and I shot again and scored. That is why I am very proud.
Bryce Calhoun, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Spradlin

One time I felt really proud is when I won prizes in school. I have won about three prizes in school. In kindergarten I won a Minion robot. I am in second grade now and I have won certificates to Texas Road House and Sonic. I sure have won a lot of prizes at school!!
Isaac Boyd, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Spradlin

This is the proudest thing I have done. When I asked my mom if she wanted to see my cartwheel she said yes! And I practiced a thousand times to get it right and when I lifted my feet in the air they were straight. My hands were straight, even my body was straight up in the air. I DID A CARTWHEEL! I jumped all around yelling I DID A CARTWHEEL! I was so proud I think I fainted!
Kenley Altman, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Spradlin

This is what I did that made me proud. I beat a really, really hard video game. The second thing that made me proud is being really nice to someone. The last thing that I did that made me proud is training so hard that I could be really strong. That’s the things that I did that made me proud.
Tyler Grindstaff, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Spradlin

One time I felt proud was at the Santa store. When I was in the Santa shop I was thinking about buying myself a toy. My friend Silas only had 10 dollars. I thought about what he was going to buy and then I bought him a toy. That is what I did in the Santa shop. I had money left over so I bought him something. I like buying stuff for my friends.
Caleb Benton, 2nd, Mount Carmel Elementary, Mrs. Strickler

JONESVILLE MIDDLE

One time that I felt proud of myself is when I caught the other team’s ball in kickball. I was proud because I have never caught the ball in kickball. Most of the time in kickball people yell at me when I don´t catch the ball and the cheered for me when I caught it. It made me feel good. I am proud of myself because people would compliment me for catching the ball and it made my team happy so it made me happy. That was the best day of my life. Now I just need to learn to kick.

I’ve been proud of many things in my life, but one I was, and still am, proud of. One day, my dad was driving my sisters and me to McDonalds. When we were coming back, we went to Wal-Mart. When we went to Wal-Mart, there was a homeless man outside. I decided to give him my fries and the small fries my little sister wasn’t going to eat, but it doesn’t stop there. On the way home, I saw a little dog on the road, about a few months old. It had been a little injured on the foot, we thought it might have been attacked by another dog, or ran over. My sisters and I wanted that dog. My dad said no multiple times, so I started crying, I wasn’t crying because I really wanted the dog, I was crying because I saw that the dog was bleeding. I’m also really sensitive to seeing animals hurt. So, we brought the dog home and took care of it for a few months. Then our house was getting messy and a wreck. So, my dad’s friend really wanted that dog, so he took it. My sisters and I were really upset about it, but we got over it.
Ashlee Clasby, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One time my papa and I went walking and I was eating chips and we saw this dog that was starving to death. So I got out and fed it my chips even though it barked at me. I was so happy so now when I grow up I want to be a doctor and then a part time job an animal rescuer to help all the homeless animals.
Aubrey Malle, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I could write about a time that I was felt proud it would have to be last year. It was sol test time. I have never liked tests or anything like that. I would always get really nervous especially about sol test. This test was on history. I love history. I thought the test was a little hard. I thought that I wouldn’t make a good grade but I was wrong. I showed the paper to my friend she told me that I did terrible I knew she was joking. I flipped the paper around I made a 600. I was so shocked! I felt proud at the same. That was the best grade you can get. That was the most proud I have ever been of myself.
Bailie Hughes, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One time I felt proud was when my sister told that she is going to have a baby. I was so proud because I was going to be an uncle. When she told me that I couldn’t get it off my mind because I was so, so proud. I was also happy for her because she is going to have a baby. My mom was also proud of her my mom told her good luck for her when she has her baby.
Brandon West, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

A time I felt proud of myself is when I made all A´s. I finally felt smart. My mom and dad were proud of me too. I did not think I would make all A´s but I shocked myself. I figured that I would have one or two B´s. I was so amazed that I did not have any B´s. I felt very proud of myself. It was a good day.
Braylen Pendergraft, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I am proud of myself because I make good grades in school. I do the best I can in each class. I have make the A honor roll every 9 weeks. I think I do better at math and reading than anything else. All the teachers, tutors, and aids are great. They give me all the knowledge that I have today. They educate me so I can get good job. I have to have a good job that provides money to provide myself shelter, food, and clothing, I hope I can make good grades for the rest of the time I am in school. Good grades in schools will pay off sometime in your life.
Brycen Coomer, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

Once I was down in Tennessee seeing my family. I was at my cousin’s basketball game. My little cousin wasn’t playing right then so she and I were passing the basketball in the hallway. I passed it to her then this random kid tried to steal it from her. So then I went over there and took the ball and said go get your own ball so then he left. I felt like I did the right thing even though I could have been a little mean. That kid shouldn’t have done that because he doesn’t know her and she doesn’t know him.
Cade Troutman, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I was proud of myself for cleaning my room without getting told to. It looked so nice and clean after I got done cleaning my room. My parents were so glad I cleaned my room and when my brother had to clean his room I did not because my room was clean. I organized my book shelf and by dresser and all of my art stuff. It felt so good to clean my room without getting told to.
Cameron Mosley, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One thing I´m proud of is when me and my Papaw and brother were driving to get my medicine because I was sick. When we were driving there and there´s a couple who are homeless on the side of the road. My Papaw said if they were still there we were going to give them a ride and where ever they needed it. When we’re coming back through we picked them up drove them to Jonesville and dropped them off there.
Chandler Skaggs, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

One time when I was proud was when I caught my 2 turn in baton. We had a recital and I told my baton teacher that I wanted to do a two turn. So I walked out and I threw my baton up and I spun two times and I caught my baton. One other time when I was proud of myself when I got straight A’s all school year. I try my best in school and I make good grades. One other time when I was proud of myself when I became a majorette I have been doing baton for 4 years. When I started baton I was in the smaller class and I was in 2nd grade. You can become a majorette when you were in 4th grade, so I had several years to go. I got moved up to JV majorette because I was advanced. I was so happy when I got moved up. These are some times that I was proud of myself and why
Charisa Moore, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I felt proud was when my brother was born. When my brother was born I was so happy and proud that I was a big brother. I was four when Connor was born. I was so happy and proud I was becoming a big brother. My mom and dad tells me that I am such a good big brother and a good help. They also say that they don´t know what they would do without me. Those are the reasons I am proud to be a great big brother!
Chase Pearce, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

The thing I was proud of myself is cooking for my family. I would cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for my family. I usually like cooking for my sister because I just need to help her and keep her safe. I usually like to cook her favorite food, pizza. I really need to watch her, keep her, save and feed her.
