My favorite holiday memory is when I got my first American girl doll, Ivy Ling. I was really young, but I still remember it perfectly. I woke up early in my Christmas pajamas. I peeked and saw my presents for a split second. I went to my parents’ bedroom and woke them up. I loved my American girl doll, she looked exactly like me, and her last name was the same as my Chinese last name. She also came with a Chinese dress. This Christmas is special to me because it showed me my love of collecting dolls. This is my favorite holiday memory, what’s yours?

My favorite Christmas memory was three years ago. Three years ago, my dad was home for Christmas. For the past two years, he has been working so that other people can spend Christmas with their families. That night, we went to my great grandmother and grandfather’s house, and we ate and opened presents. We woke up early, and all the grandparents would come to our house and watch us open presents. Then we would go to my gammow and pappow’s house for lunch and to open more presents. Finally, we go to our last stop, my memmow’s and grandaddy’s house, and once again we eat and open presents. This was my favorite because I got to spend the entire day with all my family. These were some of the reasons why that Christmas is my favorite holiday.
