If I created a time capsule it would be a teddy bear. I chose the teddy bear because that’s what I play with now. I love to play with teddy bears because they are really cute. I sleep with one every night. That is why I would create a new time capsule and put my bear in it.

JONESVILLE MIDDLE

If I could put something in a time capsule for future students to see it would be a yearbook of 2019. I would put a yearbook because the students would be able to see all the great people that went to this school at that time. Also it’s cool to see the people that used to go here because you never know, you could be related to them. The yearbook can be kept in the school for the memories of the past students. I would also put a picture of the principal and all the teachers of 2019 because the students could learn more about the past teachers and principal. They might have been wondering who used to be the old principal.
Adriane Moore, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

In a time capsule, I’d get a voice recorder and start recording my voice in days. About 7 days’ worth of recordings. On day one, I’d say stuff about the scenery around my town. On the second day, I’d say stuff about politics, like Donald Trump. Third day, the ocean. I’d talk about the ocean and how it’s getting polluted by people. Fourth day, just some random facts about me, like my favorite color is lime green. Fifth day, I’d talk about video games and how people really love them. Like Fortnite. Sixth day, I’d talk about school changes. The last day, I’d probably talk about all the stuff I said before and some other things. Then, after recording everything, I’d get a time capsule, get a note, and put “Open in Year 2037” on it and just wait till 2037. I’d probably also put some other stuff in the time capsule.
Ashlee Clasby, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I would put something in a time capsule, I would put a necklace from my aunt and uncle. I would also put pens for my shirts, they have my aunts and uncle’s initials LG and DG. My uncle was in the army, I don’t get to see them that much because they live in Connecticut. I would put the necklace and pens in the time capsule so future students could see them.
Aubrey Malle, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I could put anything in a time capsule I would put things from this year. I would put a one dollar bill so if it ever changes, they could see. I would put a newspaper so they can see what’s going on today. I would put a picture of Converse, because a lot of people wear Converse. I would put a pack of M & M’s, because who doesn’t like them? I would put a picture of the Fortnite logo so they can see what kind of video games are popular now. The last thing I would put is a picture of the iPhone XRs because that is probably the most bought phone this year. These are just a few of the many things you could put in a time capsule!
Bailie Hughes, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I want the students in the future to find board games so they can be entertained besides just sitting there and doing nothing. Also to play with their friends. They can also play with their mom, dad, grandpapaw, grandmamaw, and cousins. They can also bring it to school if their teacher lets them.
Brandon West, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I were to put something in a time capsule I would put a newspaper in it. I would put a newspaper because they can read what was going on. If there was a really big flood and the newspaper talked about it they could read about it. If they were young when something like a flood happened the newspaper could tell them what it was like. If it was election year they would know who got elected for what. I think it would be a good idea to put a newspaper in a time capsule.
Braylen Pendergraft, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I put something in a time capsule, I would put a video of me talking about what it is like in the year 2019. I would tell them about all of the fun things there are to do and how everybody loves Fortnite.

What I would put in my time capsule would probably be a picture. I would choose a picture because it brings back memories. I would most likely put a picture of my family members that have passed away. I have a couple family members that have passed away. At least I know they’re in a better place but of course I miss them. So I would probably put a picture of them so I could always remember them. All my family could look back at the pictures. That’s what I would put in my time capsule.
Cade Troutman, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I put something in a times capsule, I would put a math worksheet so they could see how we did math in 2019. Then compare how they do math and how we did math in 2019. Then they could try to do a problem on how math was in 2019. I think that would be a lot of fun.
Cameron Mosley, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I would put newspapers in my time capsule. Then video games that we played then. Put video recordings in my time capsule and magazines in it to know what we liked.
Chandler Skaggs, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

This is what I would put in a time capsule. I would probably or maybe put our journals in it so that future students could get in it and see what we wrote about, and they could write about it too. One other thing that I would put in it would be newspapers so that they can see what is happening in our world. One other thing that I would put in it would be movies. Mrs. Austin could take a video about us and put it in there. Then she can show her future students what we did. One last thing that I would put in it would be fidget spinners. So that future students can see what we had fun with. These are some things that I would put it in a time capsule. When we are older we could get in it and look at these things and think back and think about what fun we had in the year 2019. We could put a JMS newspaper in it so they could see what our school was like and what our school did.
Charisa Moore, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I could put anything in a time capsule it would be a note talking about Donald Trump and how in my opinion he is the best president ever. I would also talk about how Donald Trump ran against Hillary for president in 2016. I would also say that Donald Trump was working on building a wall on the Mexican border. I would also include that Donald Trump was the 45th president of the United States of America. That is one thing I would love to place in a time capsule!
Chase Pearce, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I would place my 5th grade origin project book in there. I chose this because my family is known for a lot and I thought that they to know about me and learn what the origin project is about and read it. I think they will like it. To me, I think the origin project would be great to read, learn, and enjoy.
Chase Weston, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I would put this in my time capsule, pictures of my family and I having fun together. I would also put my favorite books in my time capsule. I would also put one more thing in my time capsule, makeup. I would put pictures of my family and me because I love my family so much. I would put my favorite books in my time capsule because I like to read a lot. I would also put makeup in my time capsule because I could look as beautiful as my teachers.
Cheyenne Helbert, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If my class would have a time capsule I would put in Kidz Bop music CD. This CD has pop music on it and also kids sing it. Kids are the best and some are gifted which makes them good. I think they will like it.

If I could put anything in a time capsule for future students to find I would put a flash drive with a short video of the class. I would put it in there so they can see what the classes are like now.
