My favorite summer activity is basketball. I got to play every morning and night from 6:30am to 8:00pm.  My dad plays with me all the time. Also my dad is very good at basketball. Next summer my dad and mom agreed to sign me up for basketball. After my mom and dad talked about me getting signed up for basketball they both came outside and told me that I am going to tryouts next summer. I hugged them and kissed them. I love basketball.

My favorite summer activity was going to Dallas. Every day in Dallas my cousin Taylor and I would go swimming in the pool. A really good thing about Dallas is it is always hot enough to go swimming. Something else I love about Dallas is Six Flags. It is a tradition to go to Six Flags when I go to Texas. My favorite thing I did in Dallas was when we stayed the night at the Perot Museum. We watched a 3D movie there, had a scavenger hunt, saw live science experiments, had a dance party in the lobby, and slept in the sanctuary with the dinosaurs. I always love to go to Texas because I get to see my friends and family.

My favorite event this summer was my vacation. I went with my mom’s side of the family. We went shopping and I got a really pretty souvenir and went out to eat at a really fancy restaurant. There was even a high dive at the lake I got to jump off of. We also got to go to a blue grass concert, have a cookout, and roast marshmallows. I had a lot of fun and would love to go next year.

My favorite summer activity was 4-H camp. I enjoyed the classes and activities. My favorite class was Challenge in the Woods. I enjoyed the tire swing the most of the courses. My favorite summer activity was going to the beach. One of the reasons I loved the beach is the fancy hotel room we were in. It had one huge closet and four large beds. I love the beach and the way the waves moved. It was very peaceful at the beach and I loved the sunset. We spent five days there. We had a great week. We also ate fish and went fishing. Before we left, we went to Dollywood. Beach trips are a relaxing chance to hang out with family and friends and make wonderful memories that will never end.

My favorite summer activity is Windy Gap. They have everything a kid would want! It`s a camp. We stayed for two days. I wish it was more. They have a slide, volleyball court, water trampoline, and zip line.  It’s awesome, but the worst part is that I have to wait until next year. I cannot wait until then!

My favorite summer trip was to Georgia. When we went fishing I caught a big bass, and another big one I hooked but he got off. When we went to Amanda’s it was time to eat, I got to cook some noodles. When went to Uncle Richard’s we stayed there. I slept in the bed with my dad and Leland slept on the couch. Uncle Richard’s dog slept with me and dad. When we woke up, Max was gone. My dad got a new game on his phone called rollercoaster tycoon. He let me play it and I liked it. My dad got it a few days before we went to Georgia. I can’t wait to go back to Georgia in a few months.

My favorite activity this summer was swimming in the pool because I like water.  When I swam we had lots of fun and played games.  Also we played on pool noodles.  We had competitions like who could have the biggest cannonball.  My brother hit the water, splash!  It went everywhere and he won.  In a game called blind man, I won.  We had an exquisite time in the pool this summer.
Eli Minor, 3rd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Crawford

My favorite activity this summer was going on a cruise because I went with all my cousins and mamaw and papaw.  It was so fun.  They had a big water slide, hot tub, and pools.  The part I like about in the room is that there was a bed that pulled down and like sleeping up there.  My favorite part about the cruise is that you could watch a movie at night.  At dinner you could get your napkin and wave it in the air as the people that worked there got up on the table and danced.  They would play music at dinner and they would have the captain at dinner. It was so fun I can’t wait to go again.
