If I was in charge of the world I would make the world a happier place by clearing weeds out of gardens and planting grass to prevent soil erosion. I would also plant trees and use bikes instead of a bus or car. That is how I would make the world a happier place.
Piper Linton, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world to make it a better place I would support Trump with his plan. Make 5th graders in charge of congress. Make everyone elect me for president. Ban smoking and electric cigarettes. Form up a team of cleaners that clean the earth. Make the weather forecast rain 100 dollar bills every day. Last but not least I would ban sickness.
Randy Litton, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

To make my world a better place I would stop people from littering. Littering is bad for our planet and it hurts our Earth. To stop littering I would put up cameras and see if somebody litters. If somebody litters they will have to pay a large chunk of money. That is the fairest way to stop littering. Next, I would stop logging. Logging hurts our nature environment. When you take down a tree, usually animals live in the tree. Now the animals do not have a place to live. Another thing I would do to make this world a better place is that teachers get paid more. Teachers have to deal with mean, funny, and kind kids all day, and they don’t get paid a lot! It is ridiculous! I would also shut down some factories because of pollution. Pollution is bad for our Earth. We need to stop it! I would also make people sometimes ride a bicycle to their job or school. The cars are bad for our earth! On March 31st I would make fast food places, like KFC serve everything for free for the homeless people so they can eat. I wish I was in control of the world. I would make this world a better place!
Riya Lewis, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world and could make it a better place I would start by cleaning the world. I would also implement a rule that if you littered you would have to pay a 100 – 5,000 dollar fine. Than I would go and tell every girl and boy in the world to let their inner beauty shine. After that I would go to Africa and help them get things like better education and housing. My next destination would be Detroit to help them make a better economy. I would go to China to stop air pollution because it gets really bad there. That is what I would do to make a better world.
Samantha Cavin, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

To make the world a happy place I would get rid of money so life could be easier for people who do not have money. There would be more jails in the world to protect the other citizens from the people who have a life of crime. The world would be a happy place because some people are afraid of danger but if there was no reason to cause danger they would be safe. I would only use natural resources so I would not pollute the atmosphere. I would make sure nothing would be toxic to humans or animals. What would you do to make the world a happier place?
Tawni Toney, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world, to make it a happier place I would plant more trees to give us oxygen. We would breathe happily and after the trees get old and cut down I would make a law to regrow the tree. The law shall state “That if the people in the world don’t regrow their trees in two years they will be sent to prison, jail, or community service for a three year term/agreement”. Will I be a good ruler/boss? I believe I will be a good ruler and I approve this message.
Taylor Epperly, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world I would do a lot of stuff to make it a happier place. I would not allow littering. I know littering is already against the law but people still litter. Littering is like buckling your seat belt in a vehicle. It is against the law but the majority of people do not ride in a vehicle with their seat belts on. I would also try to stop water pollution. I know there is also air pollution but it would be hard to stop it because a car or truck is what most people use for transportation. Water pollution is easier to stop and it is better for the environment. Water pollution is kind of related to littering. Water pollution is often made by people throwing paper bags into the ocean which is like littering in the ocean. I really hope someday people would stop littering or causing water pollution so the world can be happier.
Taylor Shupe, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world I would make a better car and a better jet so I could be famous. I love the world, but it can be kinda boring sometimes. So I would also make a thing like a robot to do anything that you want it to do. I also would become president and be even more famous.
Travis Eldridge, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I was in charge of the whole world I would make everyone have a chicken. That way everyone will have a pet.
Trey Cretors, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

If I could make the world a better place I would give the the word of God. I would give them the word of God because our world we live in is terrible because they think its okay to skip church and do some inappropriate stuff at their house. Some of it is even getting in the churches and I hate that because you go to church to worship God not worship this stuff that is in the world. I also think that the world needs the word of God because it’s too much bad stuff I’m not allowed to say. But if I don’t get published I don’t care because I’m saying the truth. I think they also need revival. Even us Christians need revival because we need to be the light God tells us to be day by day and I think that our world needs revival and they need to get saved and go to church. That is what I know will make a better place because God is good and I hope you think the same.
Zach Lane, 5th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Austin

I would get people WiFi so they could go online and stuff. Then I would get people jobs so they could pay their bills. If they can’t afford a house I would give them some stuff to make a little camp or something.

Alicia Spires, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Put all the bad people in jail. I hate how people litter. I do like how people work to pick up the trash.
Alivia Collins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge i would make school off on Monday because some people go to church on Sunday night. I think people should get some rest on Monday and get prepared for the week ahead. But students would still have to go to school on Saturday. Why could the students just go four days? Well because students need a full five days in and homework at least twice a week so they can be prepared for the SOL. If it was at least two weeks until the SOL students need to start an hour early in school and stay an extra hour after school. So the school days would be from seven to four (7-4).
Ashton Elliott, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would cut taxes down by three. It could be three cents, three dollars, three hundred dollars, three thousand dollars. It does not matter–taxes would be cut by three.
Ben Cope, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Colby Helbert, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If you were in charge of the world what would you do to make it a happier place? I would give every homeless person one hundred million dollars so that they can can buy a new house and a car. They could use it to buy some clothes, food, and water.
Colin Bostic, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Ellis Hammonds, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Emily Stewart, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I’m not going to question why an eleven year old is in charge of the world, but I would make abortion illegal. Before everybody yells at me just let me explain. Abortion is murder though we are told, “The baby is not alive yet.” If we keep this up we ourselves will be the death of the human race.
Emma Hobbs, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I want to change the schools and make it better because we don’t want these kids to get sick.
Emma Wright, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge of the I would make new restaurants and more parks. I would also make a new holiday called Sport Day. I think people will like Sport Day because many people love to play many sports like baseball, basketball, and many more.
Ethan Pennington, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would build more homes for the homeless and build more places for people to work.
Faith Arney, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would do nothing to the world. It is good how it is right now. It was made like this and it’s good like this.
Finn Grout, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge of the world, I would make school shorter and have more classes kids want. I would also have more fundraisers, charities, and shelters for the homeless. I would love it!
Gracie Willis, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would make kids not go to school or if they went to school they would get paid. For the adults I would make them not have to go to work but they would still get paid. For grandmas and grandpas they will get to see their grandchildren and their children any time. If you want to go to work you will get to or you can just apply and get the job and still get paid. Kids get to do whatever they want. That’s what I would do and for the kids to get what they want because everyone gets paid, so they have plenty of money!!
Grier Crabtree, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would like to change the amount of cancer. I would do the research work I had to do. The reason why I think that we should find a cure is to save lives. We are reading Zink and Becky has cancer and is about to pass.
Hannah Blair, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would make people that are mean or do anything bad go to prison but make the prison not as bad as the prisons are now. I would reward people that are nice. Nice people are better.
Hannah Jones, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I were in charge of the world? All the people that are in jail for murder and stealing, I would make them live all their life in jail. I mean, what’s so fun about doing that stuff? Why do people do it? It’s just cruel. That is why we need to make the world a better place.
Hannah Marcum, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge of the world I would make there be a 3-hour day school and make the food at the stores cost a dollar or a penny and I would make the poor people houses and give them food.
Harley Wilder, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I will make it where kids don’t have to go to school because some kids don” like school, but they have to go to school.
Jacob Childers, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge of the world I would give everyone lots of money. Also everyone in the world would not go to work or school for a week every month. If anyone ever had a negative attitude I would fine them two hundred thousand dollars.
Jacob Marcum, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would give my power to another man, a worthy man. He would serve the people and die for the people. He would also keep a democracy.
Jaden Morell, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I were in charge of the world, I would make a homeless shelter that could hold lots of people. I would also put one in every city in the world. That is what I would do.
Jimmy Cavins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in charge I would make the world a better place. I would pick up trash and delete all drug addicts. I would make America great again. If I see a person with a gun I would put them in jail for at least one year to make kids safe who roam the streets. And I would put cameras on the streets in case a kid gets kidnapped. The end.
Jordan Woodard, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Make sure no place has socialism in it. Take all nukes and send them into space and blow them up there. But most important of all no school anywhere, just lots of studying.
Joseph Honeycutt, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones
