MILLER PERRY ELEMENTARY

The kindest thing I have done was helping my little brother finish his homework. He was almost finished with it but he couldn’t finish it. I didn’t want to help him but he begged me so I did and helped him finish it. That’s the kindest thing I have done for someone recently.

The last kind thing was helping my sister because she fell off the step. I went and got her and put her inside and got her one of her toys and she was happy. Then I got my mom and she got her something to eat so she can feel good. And that is what I did for my sister. Now you can go help or be kind to someone.

Doing a nice thing for someone can go a long way. I will tell you the last nice thing I have done for someone. I invited my Poppy to a Veteran’s Day program at school. On the phone we told him we were having a Veteran’s Day program at school. After we invited him he came. My brother, my Poppy, and I had fun! After that my Poppy said, “This was one of the best days of my life!” You see, with a little bit of kindness you can go a long way.

The last thing I remember about doing something nice for someone is singing for the best people ever. It was for the veterans. I did it so I can make them happy. David Parker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Have you ever done something kind for someone? It feels great. The last kindest thing was on November 9th, the day we celebrated Veterans Day. We learned about some stuff like a poem about the American flag. Then we listened to a song with all 5 armies. Then all the 4th and 5th graders who wanted to sing for the veterans got on the stage and sang God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood. The veterans loved it. That is why you should do something kind for others.

The last kind thing I did was help my Dad out of the shower. He has a bad back. It hurts when he moves sometimes. He cannot lift his legs high. I helped my Dad get this towel. I helped keep him still. I helped lift his leg over the tub. Thankfully this is rare. Doctors give him back shots. He does not hurt after the shots.

This is the last kind thing I did for someone. It was a typical school day and we were going out of the auditorium. As I was walking out I relied that 5th grade would have to open the door over and over. So I held the door for the entire 5th grade. I would probably be late to class but I knew I was doing the right thing. That is the last kind thing I did for someone.

The last kind thing I did was get a juice for a friend. It is not that amazing, but it is still nice. Okay I was just getting extras then bam. Then my friend is right behind me. Then he asks me can you get two juices then I said, “No.” Then he asks me if I can get him one so I said, “Sure.” I got one for free anyway. Then I gave it to him like nothing happened.

The last kind thing I did was take out the trash. Now that I think about it, I’m glad I did it because I don’t have to do it anymore. The trash was stinky but I thought it was good that I did that so my mom didn’t have to do it. I don’t like taking out the trash because it stinks and there are bugs everywhere. That is the best thing I have done that I remember.

One time, I planted tulips for someone. It was really nothing but they thought it was. And if you are wondering who that somebody is, it is my grandmother. It is kind of fun to plant, especially with your grandmother because they tell you what to do. You don’t have to do what they say but it is still fun. And another nice thing I did was sometimes I walk the dog for my mom. I should all the time but I do not. That is why a hope you like it.

Kindness helps a lot of people. It even changes people’s lives. The person that I was being super kind to well… let’s just call her a part of her name which is Molly. She is my neighbor. So she told me about a sassy mean girl named Mary Jane being super rude to her. She told me almost every day on the bus. I told my mom then my mom told Molly’s parents. And that’s the last time I was kind to someone else. Thanks for reading!

What was the last act of kindness you did for someone? The last act of kindness I’ve done is help my friend Olivia out in 3rd grade. Olivia is basically my best friend like she’s the best BFF I’ve ever had. What happened was it was a bobcat mall day and I gave Olivia all my bobcat bucks since she had none. She was a little bit sad so I just gave her my bobcat bucks. The last act of kindness was I gave all my bobcat bucks to my friend Olivia.

Myra Copas, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The nicest thing I have done for someone was when I first got to Miller Perry Elementary. I was 7 if I’m right. Well I was playing with toys alone, then out of the blue, a girl walked up to me! Her name was Madison, she asked if we could be friends. She was very shy so she didn’t have many friends. She was my first friend in Miller Perry Elementary. We had so much fun together; we could hardly be separated from each other! We promised that we would have each other’s back. So how did I make her happy? Well since she was very shy and did not have many friends, I told how great she was to others. Some of them liked the same things Madison did and became her friend! She was so happy. You could see the child’s happiness in her eyes. She thanked me. We are still friends to this day and still have each other’s back like always! I’m so glad we are friends because now she has friends to hang out with. All I’m happy about is that I helped someone that was in need of friendship.
Olivia Fraley, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Small acts of kindness will bring joy to the world. The person that I did a kind thing for was a girl named Karina. Why I helped her was that she was six dollars over at the gas station. The last kind thing I did was give Gracie a gift for her birthday. The birthday itself was very fun. For my gift I gave Gracie a squishy maker! She really liked it. Reese Hoover, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The last kind thing I did for someone was on Sunday when I went to go see my Uncle Doug at the hospital in Greeneville. When we left to go to my Aunt Penny’s and my Uncle Doug’s house, Shaly came over. She’s really little I was playing with her and then it was time to go and Shaly started to cry so I asked my mom if we could stay longer and she said yes. Shaly went YAH!! Then we kept playing and she was happy. She was super-duper really happy and wanted to play lots of games. That is the last kind thing I did for somebody.

Hey! Can I tell you something? The last kind thing I did for someone else was I fed my cats and dog. I did this for my stepmom because she had to go to work and she had been cleaning the house all day. Want more information? Well my little sister wanted to go outside and my big sister did not want to do it. So I got my little sister and went out and fed my cats and dog. That is the last kind thing I did for someone else.

Kindness can change the world, think of the possibilities! Last weekend I helped my dad, I helped him because I love him! He is the best, he got me ice cream! Kindness can help anyone even if they’re mean, kind already, and more. So help as many people as you can every day!
