My favorite thing about coming back to school is my friends. My friends are good people, they always help me when I need it. Also, they sometimes break the rules but it’s ok. Last but not least, they respect my feelings. That’s is my favorite thing about coming back.

My favorite part about starting the new school year is seeing my friends. After being out of school for so long you don’t get to see you friends often. The only time you might see them is at a store, but that’s not likely. It seems like summer break is longer than months. But the first day of school we pick up like it was yesterday.

My favorite thing about the new school year is the teachers. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Sanders. Four years ago Mrs. Sanders was my first teacher. And this is my last year of elementary school. I’m in the sixth grade. Next year I will be going to Gate City Middle School. Next year I get to meet new teachers.

What I think is good about this year is the teachers. Some teachers are mean but not sixth grade teachers. Mrs. Sanders is nice and I already know that Mrs. Clark is nice too. I also see new people and they are nice too. I love new school years!

My favorite part about this year is the fact that I’m finally a sixth grader. Now my friends and I are finally the oldest ones here, the kings and queens of the school! We get to go on all the field trips and much more. One of the field trips is we get to go on is to Biltmore Estate! We also get to be on teams, one of the teams is safety patrol. I can’t wait to see all of the fun things that are ahead of us this year!

My favorite thing about the new school year is having language arts first. Last year we had math first and I did not like it. I think we should have math when you are more awake and have more energy. My favorite part about starting the new school year would be getting to see my friends after this summer. I hardly saw any of my friends this summer except at softball games and practices. My best friend’s name is Aybree. We have been friends since preschool. We are even going to dress the same on twin day at school. That’s my favorite part of the new school year.

My favorite thing about the start of the new school year is going to afterschool. I go to Holston View after school. I love going there because I like seeing and helping the smaller kids. I also like seeing my friends and teachers that go there. They also feed you snack, help with your homework, and let you play outside or in the gym. I love going to Holston View!

We play lava monster where you have to balance on the wooden border of the playground. We play cops and robbers. We even made up a game called ball tag. It’s great seeing my friends again.

My favorite thing about starting a new school year is seeing my old friends and making new ones. There is not any person in the school that I dislike. When you go to school you will have times that you have to work hard but there will also be time to talk later unless you get your privileges taken away. Be smart and talk when the teacher says you’re allowed to and work when you’re supposed to!

My favorite thing about this school year is getting to see my friends. The reason why seeing my friends is my favorite thing about this school year is because you can’t see them all in the summer. You can play with them during gym and recess. During the summer, you wish you could be in school so you can see your friends. Friends are my favorite thing about this school year.

My favorite part about starting school this new school year was seeing all of my friends again. Also I am excited about my favorite subject, history. I’ve been hoping since fourth grade to learn about World War II because my great-grandfather fought in that war. While doing so, he won a Purple Heart medal and many others. Another favorite part of the start of this school year was that this year I am going to be a sixth grader. Sixth grade was worth looking forward to because in sixth grade there are lots of clubs to participate in. Those were some of my favorite things about starting the new school year!

My favorite part about starting the new school year is being in sixth grade. I’m really excited about being in sixth grade because the sixth graders have a lot of opportunities that the other grades don’t have. One opportunity we have is getting to eat outside. Another thing is that we get a big field trip at the end of the year. I am really, really excited about the sixth grade field trip! The last, and best part about being in sixth grade is the teachers are really nice, and fun. Sixth grade has been super exciting so far, and I hope it never ends!

My favorite part of starting the new school year is being able to get back on a normal schedule. I have diabetes, so during the summer when I slept late, it messed up my blood sugar for the rest of the day. On a normal school day, I wake up early and that keeps my blood sugar in check for MOST days. It also helps me feel less tired and bummed out. I am very happy to be back to school and on a routine!

My favorite part of the school year is everything. Mrs. Sanders is my reading and history teacher and Mrs. Clark is my math and science teacher. I love our classroom because I get to sit right behind Samantha. This is why everything is my favorite part of the school year.
