HOLSTON VALLEY MIDDLE

If electronics didn’t exist, I would either read a book or I would be writing letters to someone. If not those I would be outside or just doing my normal chores. While I was outside I would just ride my bike. But at the end of the day, I would just put my feet up and go to sleep.
Gabriel Farley, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist, I would hang out with my dad. My dad works on his phone, on his tablet, and at his office. This would give him more free time. I could actually hang out with him. We could throw baseball, football, or we can hunt. I don’t care what it is, I still want to do it. It would make life better.
Gavin Roberts, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist, I would still play basketball and spend time with my family. My family is the sunshine to my day and they always keep me motivated. (My best friend Briana does, too.) This year in 2018, there are too many people with phones in this world. We need to take time to appreciate the people around us, and who we love. Electronics hurt our eyes, give us headaches, and etc. Family and friends protect us, love us, trust us, etc.
Anna Campbell, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist, I would continue normally. I set my iPod to calculate how much time I spend on it per week and within 2 weeks my total time came to 2 hours and 24 minutes. I only use my iPod for music, so the only change would be that I would go to concerts more frequently. In the time that I am not at concerts, you would find me on the road reading and drawing and visiting my native land of Colorado or playing musical instruments for fun. Electronics do not have a great effect on me.
Jack Ragan, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist, I would spend my time with my family. My family is very important to me. We spend time together but could obviously get closer. Although my family has been through a lot and although my dad doesn’t live with us, we are still happy. I want to spend extra time with my family because after my parents’ divorce, we kind of grew apart. We are close now, but can be closer.
Zoey Emmert, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist I would spend my time with horses. Even though I already spend time with horses, they interest me and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. It doesn’t even have to be riding horses. I love grooming, petting, and learning about horses, too. I would even want to train a foal. Electronics shouldn’t be something we can’t live without, and I think it would be good for all of us if they didn’t exist.
Mia King, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

In reality, I love electronics. I spend probably 6 hours on my phone on a weekday. My phone is very important to me. It shouldn’t stop me from going outside or getting out of the house to do things with friends. If electronics didn’t exist, I would study more and go over homework to make sure I have elaborated everything as best I can. Electronics shouldn’t be that hard to step away from just because we get bored. We should be able to step away at all times.
Katelyn Jones, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Imagine right now if we didn’t have electronics whatsoever. What you’re thinking is probably terror, right? But if we grew up without them it wouldn’t phase us. We would, overall, go outside more often. There would be less drama at school and less arguments anywhere. In conclusion, I think the world overall would be a better place.
Gabe Holcomb, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist people would be more active, but this paragraph isn’t about everyone. It’s about what I would do. If electronics had ceased to exist, I would probably play outside more and be more active. I would also probably read more and get more sleep rather than pull an all-nighter watching The Flash or H2O Delirious. I would probably play more games with family, like yard darts, Monopoly, and more games like that. I would be better at sports, and any physical activity for that matter. Finally, I would know more about my family and friends, mainly because I don’t really talk to people that much when I’m on my electronics.
John Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist, I would be out exploring. I would help my parents with housework. I would even save up enough money to pay for guitar lessons or drum lessons. I would find a way to occupy myself. That is what I would do if electronics did not exist.
Anthony Harley, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

What I would do if electronics did not exist is I would go swimming. I would probably have a family game night, which some of my friends would be invited to. We would play almost any board or card game you could think of. I would go hiking with my cousin Luke. Have a lot of road trips. I would learn to draw like some of the most famous artist by taking lessons. I would ride horses with my sister. I would also try to learn how to make pottery.
Emily Childress, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist, I would spend more time outside than inside. I don’t like watching TV. I would just go outside more and play more basketball, ride my bicycle, or do basically anything that’s outside.
Quinton Chapman, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

There are several things I would do. First, I would hang out with my friends a lot. Second, I would read a lot. Third, I would work so I could have some money. I would also start a band with musical instruments like clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, etc. I would also learn how to ride a horse.
Luke Dickerson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist I would practice volleyball and basketball. So I can learn, know how to play, so I can practice to get better at it, and so I can stay active.
Madyson Doss, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

In this day and age, everyone is all caught up in their electronics. What if they were gone, what would you do in your free time? Personally, I would spend more time with my family. Sometimes I get so caught up in my devices that I forget to even talk to my family. Next time you get all caught up in your electronics, just take a minute and talk to your family.
Kaden Ward, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics weren’t invented, people including myself would spend more quality time with family. Electronics are blocking out our relationships with our families and the outside world. Electronics are causing people to have a fake identity. Spending more quality time would be wonderful. We could go more places and do more things. Having family time could also help the experiences of jobs. Without electronics, the whole world would be uncovered and help share the love. This will help me get more fun days and nights with my family.
Berkley Helbert, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist, I would probably spend my time with my family, girlfriend, or my friends. I’m not a person to go outside a whole lot, but when I do, whether I’m with my dad or by myself, I always make something. Without electronics I would probably have enough drawings, items I made, and my friends over.
Caleb Smithson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics were not available for me to enjoy I would spend my time playing a board game or some sort of game with my family. Spending time with family is not only important but also very fun.
Sarah Trivett, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist I would spend more time outside or with my friends instead of in my room. Since I wouldn’t have anything to do inside, I would be outside a lot more. I would also spend more time with family because I wouldn’t be on my phone or Xbox.
James Cross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would be spending my time in the great outdoors. I would most likely be fishing or hiking because they are both fun activities to do outside. Also, electronics take up too much time in our daily lives. This could also allow us to spend more time with our families. The world without electronics is most likely a better world.
Alex Hamilton, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist, I feel like there would be a lot of books. One app called YouTube that I use has many uses such as information and entertainment. Since this app wouldn’t exist, I feel like there would be tons of more books telling how to do things and a lot of people including myself would be reading a lot more.
Clay Sherfey, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist I would spend my time by reading books. Books are so good for whenever you are bored. You can just pick up a book and start reading. Also, you can just relax and have fun reading. There are so many types of book I don’t think you would ever get tired of them. So I really wouldn’t care if electronics didn’t exist.
Chloe Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would spend my time sleeping or practicing more makeup ideas. If electronics didn’t exist, I would be okay with that because then my parents would talk to me. My parents are into their phones 24/7 and it gets annoying. The only reason it gets annoying is because when I talk to them, they don’t listen. Sometimes I just want to break their phones so they won’t have them. I used to be on my phone until I got it taken away. Not I do a lot more without it. I have more fun now.
Audrey Perry, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist, I would spend my time reading books. I would read Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Divergent, Percy Jackson, and other books like these.
Ryleigh Bays, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist I would be outside playing with these Mexican toys and games that my parents used to play when they were little. One of the games that I would play would be the marble game. You make holes in the ground and flick the marble. You would have to make it in the hole in order to win. There are many games you can play outside with your friends or family members.
Luz Orozco, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics did not exist I would spend my time with my family. I would spend time with my family because they are important to me. I don’t spend a lot of time with them so I could get to know more about them. I would also spend my time with my friends because my friends are fun to be around. They make me laugh. They are the best. They help me when I am down. I would also spend time with my older brother and sister. I would want to spend time with them because I don’t get to see them that often. I am always at school or they are always at work. I never get to see them anymore even though I wish I could because I love them.
Chelsea Woods, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would go outside and shoot my air rifle. Then I would go inside and play with my Legos. I would take a nap, eat, probably ride my bike and go on our bike trail.
Jacob Tarpin, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would go outside every day except when it is cold. When it’s cold, I would be inside playing with my dog or I would sleep. I would jump, jump on my trampoline. That’s what I would do if I didn’t have electronics. Also, I would play football most of the time.
Mark Shaffer, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I would play with my brother and get some bonding time with him. I would also play card games with my mom. I would color because I have so many art supplies in my room. I like to spend time with my mom and brother because they are everything to me. I don’t know what I would do with them. I never really use technology, so I would spend time doing what I regularly do.
Briana Combs, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist I would spend my time reading a book. When I’m on my phone I listen to my Bible so I can help people in Youth on their Bible. But if electronics didn’t exist, I would spend my time reading.
Jacob Johnson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If I pretend electronics do not exist, I would spend my time reading a book. After all, I do not need an electronic. Even though I spend my time reading, I might also spend my time riding a bike. If I don’t do any of these things, I sleep.
Aaron Robertstad, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

If electronics didn’t exist, most people would go chaotic. Me, probably not because I would like to go outside and play. I would mostly play basketball and football to become faster and increase my vertical jump. I like playing football a lot and if electronics didn’t exist, some people wouldn’t care but most people would go insane.
Trent Gillum, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Well, if electronics did not exist I would start doing more stuff with my friends such as a sport. When I was about nine I didn’t own any electronics. So what I would do was hang out with my friends after school so I wouldn’t be bored for the rest of the day.
Billy Parker, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor
