Someone I admire is my Aunt Sue. She helps with boy scouts and she never ever complains. She is shy but not outspoken. She tries her best to do anything and everything she can to help other people. She is always nice. She puts everyone else above herself. She is the most thoughtful and caring person I know. She is always doing things with her family.
Emily Childress, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Everyone admires someone from their parents to a celebrity that inspires them. I admire a disciplined, kind-hearted man that has taught me way more than any school can. This man is my grandfather. He has taught me good posture and eye contact along with how to drive heavy machinery. My grandfather is whom I admire.
Gabe Holcomb, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone I admire is Mr. Newell. He may not play the instrument that I play and he’s not even a woodwinds player in general, but Mr. Newell knows how to play, tune, and clean. I want to be more like him and be great at more than just my instrument. He is like me in a way; we like music and we like puns here and there. So, I admire Mr. Newell.

I admire my mom for many reasons. She helps me when I need her and is nice. She also does all the work around the house like mopping and sweeping. One time she helped me when I tried to help her cook. That’s why I admire her and everything she does.
Gage Southern, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire my mom. She is a working mom and still can take care of me and my sister. I don’t know how she does it. She takes me to school, goes to work, and gets home at five. She has been my mom and a veteran. She is devoted to make me a good person. That is why I look up to Mandie Roberts, my mom.
Gavin Roberts, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire J K Rowling. Rowling started as a poor single mother who lived paycheck to paycheck. She often loaned money and stayed nights from and with friends. On top of these struggles, J K Rowling had recently lost her mother. During all this, she was writing a book. This book is about an orphaned boy who goes to a wizarding school. Rowling solely focused on writing this book. She sent it in to over 20 publishing companies and was rejected 12 times. Others did not bother to read the book. However, Newberry Publishing took notice and published Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. She overcame so much in her life and proves that you can come from bad circumstances and still thrive. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” J K Rowling/Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

The person I admire is a girl in high school. I admire her because she is the nicest person I’ve ever wanted to meet. The girl’s name is Camie. She helps me with everything. That’s why I admire her.

I admire my mom because she is the best thing to me. I want to have the same job as her because it’s very peaceful and relaxing. She is a massage therapist at Aurora Medical Massage. She is the best mother in the world and I want to be just like her.
Jacob Turpin, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire the streamer Ninja because he does what he loves and makes people laugh and is great at all the games he plays. He is inspiring and is funny to watch.
James Cross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Everyone admires someone at some time. Whether it’s a celebrity, relative, teacher, coach, or anyone. Now I admire someone who I see as a guide who helps and protects me and that’s my dad. My dad has taught me a lot through my 12 years on earth. He’s protected and supported me. He also feeds me and tries his best to keep me healthy. He supports me in all I do. Finally, my dad inspires me to grow up and get a good job, wife, and have kids whether adopted or not.
John Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

There are two people in my life that I admire. My friends help me when I need it. They take up for me if someone else is being mean to me. They help me through hard times. I admire them for that because they help me a lot when something is going on.
Kailee Gross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone I admire is William Granville Clark, but his friends called him Bill. He was in the Air Force in World War II. He was a tail gunner on a B-24 bomber. One day during the war, his plane was shot down over Romania and he was captured as a prisoner of war. After being captured he and his friends escaped but were captured again and sent back to prison. After some time, he escaped again but it was the Princess of Romania who helped him escape. Years later, he moved back to Kentucky and bought a farm. The princess who helped him escape came to visit and stayed on the farm with him. Bill Clark was my great-grandfather. Even though I never met him, I know I would have loved him and he would have loved me.
Katelyn Jones, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire Emma Watson. She is an actress that teaches young girls to be a warrior, not a princess. Emma fights for female rights and is part of the LGBT movement. A great deal of her movies roles are strong women. She is an amazing actress and an even more amazing role model.

Someone I admire would be my brother. His name is Rafael and he’s 20 years old. I admire him because he has helped my parents and me a lot. Since my parents can’t speak English, he has helped them fill papers out and a lot more. He started at a young age because he’s the one translating and all that.
Luz Orozco, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Madyson Doss, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire Paris Sellon. She rides horses for the US and rode in the Longines FEI cup. I love how advanced she rides but that isn’t even what is so impressing. What makes her stand out above the rest is that both of her parents work in the TV business. Her mother produces The Big Bang Theory and her father produced Cheers and Friends. Despite her parents being associated with TV she didn’t let that affect who she wanted to be. She is also someone I admire because I love horses and riding them. Paris Sellon is a very admirable person and she stands out above the rest.
Mia King, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone who I admire is my mom. I admire her because she is my hero. She is the best mom in the entire world. My mom is the best because she comes home from work and gets our lunches ready for the next day and cooks dinner. She absolutely works her butt off.
Micah Jessee, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Nicolette Bradwell, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire my parents because they stick up for you, help you through tough times, and so much more. Your parents are literally superheroes. All parents are, in my opinion. They are there and know pretty much everything you do. You might think they are not looking but they know. That is who I admire most.
Ocianna Church, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I do really admire Jacob J. he always is there and around. He does what a best friend should do. I’m glad I am friends with Jacob and not enemies with him or anyone else in the school. Jacob and I always have fun.
