My favorite birthday was my 6th. We had a big party at White Top Park. We had a big cookie cake and ice cream. Since my birthday is in June it was perfect to play around on the equipment. After playing around for an hour we ate some of the ice cream then opened the presents. I don’t remember everything I got but I do remember one thing, my first bike.

A special birthday memory for me is when I went to Walmart and got Mario and Luigi Dream Team. It was one of, and still is, my favorite Nintendo video games that I have played. I also got some new plushies to add to my big collection. No other birthday memory comes close to being my favorite.

My special birthday memory was my 10th birthday. It was at an archery facility and we had three balls which we had to knock down. My team had one left to knock down but so did they. I won. That was my special birthday memory.

My favorite birthday memory is from last year. At my birthday party, we tried candy from Japan. My friend ate a calamari flavored lollipop and immediately started gagging because it tasted so bad.

A special birthday memory I have is when I was 8 years old. I took a trip to my hometown, Denver, Colorado. While I was there, I toured the Denver Broncos stadium. It was awesome! I got to sit in the suites and at the 50-yard line. While I was there, I even got a really cool gift—a Von Miller jersey. Later, I got to go to a Colorado Rockies baseball game. The game was cut short, but I had a blast. Best birthday ever!

A special memory I have of my birthday is getting to go out to eat and get a new game and have fun with my family. I got to go eat at Outback and then go to a store and get Rainbow Six Siege.
James Cross, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My special birthday memory was getting to choose where we ate and then opening presents. After all that I got to eat cake and play games with my family, like Jenga and Monopoly. We then played on our Wii U and played Mario. Finally we went outside and watched the sunset and listened to the radio. On my birthday I feel special with my family. We always go where I want to eat and I get presents from each family member. I love my birthday memories; they’re all great.
John Wise, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My last birthday was insane! I invited my friends and we all went to the old arcade and bought all day passes to it. My friends and I had lots of fun playing games. Not trying to brag but I got the most high scores. I mean I was insane and so was my birthday.
Kaden Ward, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

A special birthday that I have had before is that last year when I turned fourteen. I got my braces on my teeth that I have wanted for a while because my teeth were bad. The bad thing about it was that when I got them on I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t eat anything that well. I had a bad day at school. My birthday was on a Friday and I got my braces on a Thursday. I had to go to school the next day. After school though I got to go out to eat because I wanted to do something fun. I couldn’t eat that well but I got ice cream at the end so that helped.

My favorite birthday memory is when I was I think, 3 years old. I don’t remember. I just have a picture on my refrigerator and it’s when I went to my Mamaw Newman’s house. Sadly she passed away. I have cake all over my face; I was a mess. She would talk to me. I was 3 years old at the time I am pretty sure. I had a little cake. I put my hands in it and then I think my dad pushed my head into the cake. It was fun. The reason this memory is so special is because my mamaw passed away. That was a sad day but I know that she is in a better place and that she is watching over me.
Kase Newman, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

For my special birthday memory I was turning ten. I still went to my elementary school, Emmett Elementary, and we had houses. Houses were a group of people consisting of staff members and students, and every nine weeks we would have a nine weeks celebration, celebrating principal’s honor roll, honor roll, and perfect attendance. I was in the house of Kakow and that nine weeks celebration day we won. It was my birthday that same day and I got my ambassador’s jacket. At Emmett we had ambassadors of the school and I was chosen to be an ambassador. It was the best birthday I had ever had.

For my twelfth birthday my whole family went to the beach. We all stayed in either my aunt’s or grandma’s condo. It was really fun. We went to the beach and water park for a day. Then for my actual birthday we went to our favorite restaurant. Afterwards we went to my condo and played poker. This is my favorite birthday memory.

My special birthday memory is my twelfth birthday. For my birthday, I didn’t have a party. I hung out with my friend Travis at Just Jump for two hours, then went to my church and hung out and ate cookie cake. Why this is special is it was the year I didn’t have a party, showing signs of growing up.
Luke Dickerson, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

A special birthday memory as far as I can remember was when I turned six or seven. I had a huge birthday surprise party that my parents did for me. I had two piñatas, a pink dress, and a big long cake.
Luz Orozco, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

A special birthday memory that I had was with my family and friends. We rode some rides and my favorite ride was the X-Factor because it would spin you around, and it would start off slow then go fast. Then around 5:00 or 6:00 they told me I was going to see Dan & Shay. Then, after the concert I got a picture with Shay. He said happy birthday and Dan gave me his guitar pick.
Madyson Doss, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My favorite birthday memory was when I turned nine. The reason this is my favorite birthday is because this was the last time my grandma was there. My birthday is April 22. She passed away May 11. She took me to Dollywood the last birthday I spent with her. That is my favorite birthday memory.
Mark Shaffer, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of my favorite special birthday memories is when I got my first horse. The year I got my horse is the year I turned four, and I had my party at a horse barn. The memory from when I got my horse is when my parents walked the horse through the barn doors all tacked up in the pink saddle, bridle, and blanket. This was an experience that made me extremely happy. My parents made my year with that present and it is so special because it showed how well they knew me. Out of all my birthday memories this one is my favorite.
Mia King, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My special birthday memory is going to Savannah’s house and staying up until 1:00 in the morning so she could be the first to tell me happy birthday! So her sister couldn’t beat her. Then her mom, Tonia, surprised me with a gift and we went out to eat.
Ocianna Church, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One of the special memories is when I was about 7 years old. My grandma gave me a cowboy hat. She probably gave anywhere from 25 to 50 dollars for it. I still have it in my closet to this day.

My special birthday memory was last year. I got to see my best friend. I hadn’t seen her in a year and four months. Her name is Zoë. She has like, 6 or 7 siblings. Zoë got to come over and spend the night. We watched movies, played games, and we played with my little sister and her friends that came over.
Savannah Peaks, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

One memory is that I had my party at the Skate Way last year and invited some of my friends. We skated and it was really fun. I remember having cupcakes and got lots of money. The only present I got was a sequin flip pig that Zoey got me. It wasn’t close to my birthday but it was a late birthday party. Also, Sarah fell 20 times while skating. It was funny.
Sofia Rosberg, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My favorite birthday memory is when my mom took my friends and me to Just Jump. We decided to go to the one in the Pinnacle because it just opened. So once we got there we decided to do the American Ninja course and we raced to see who could beat it first. My friend John beat us all.
Trent Gilliam, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

My special birthday memory is me getting to see my whole family. When I was about seven I got to see my whole family. The people that were included were my mom, dad, sister, cousins, my grandmas (I’ve got two of them), and my grandpa. That day was the best day of my life so far. That day with my whole family was awesome. Also my present was a dog so I was happy about that. My family is amazing to be around, especially my mom and dad. They are very special to me, as well as my sis. My sis is a good person to hang around with. She’s got a good sense of humor and she’s also serious so she is good to hang around with.
William Couch, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

A special birthday memory I had was last year. My closest friends and I went to Just Jump and Starbucks. We even did an escape room together. Although one of my friends hurt her back it was still fun because we got to hang out with the workers and do flips.

Last year in 2018 we had my birthday party in this huge cabin with a hot tub and all that stuff. So that was my favorite birthday memory. And I had a candy cake. My dad and I had a major sugar crash.
