HOLSTON VALLEY MIDDLE
My family always plays football, catch, basketball, and board games. Just around every day we go outside and play football or basketball. Every few days we play board games like Uno, Bubble Text, Apples to Apples, etc. It’s always fun to play with my dad, mom, and brother just around every day.

My favorite activity to do with my mom is skating. I like to skate because I suck at it and my mom is super good. When we go skating on Tuesdays, my mom helps me skate. I can skate on my own but I’m always afraid to fall. Tonight we are going skating and I’m going to try to skate by myself for most of the time. I know how to skate and how to do the turns, but I can never properly get up after falling. I’m afraid to fall because before, when my friend fell someone ran over her hand twice and I don’t want to also get hurt.

My favorite activity to do with my parents is go on vacation with my family. Mostly because it’s a thing that all of us enjoy. One thing that we all hate is the long drive to the place we’re going. We usually like to go to South Carolina because it’s not too far away, but it’s still a good place to go. I hope you enjoyed my favorite activity with my parents.

My favorite activity to do with my family members is playing Phase 10 or Monopoly. We are always busy. I have Robotics Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday so I’m here until six.
My aunt takes care of my grandma because she has stage four throat cancer. My uncle works, but on Fridays we take a couple hours and play games together. We mostly play Phase 10. After we are done playing games, we will go down to the store and get our favorite snacks. I love Fridays.

My favorite activity to do with my parents and family members is every week. Wednesdays, Saturdays, and holidays my entire family—aunts uncles and all get together and go out to get food and we have a big game night and bonfire and roast s’mores.

My favorite thing to do with my family is do fun things like go out to eat and play at the park with my sister and brother. What else I like to do for fun is go to Tinsel Town at The Pinnacle. I like to go down there to have fun with my sister, my mom, and my brother. My sisters, my dad, and I also go to Just Jump. It’s at The Pinnacle too. We also go out to eat sometimes. So that’s what I like to do for fun with my family.

My favorite activity to do with my family is hanging out at a restaurant, park, store, or just anywhere we can talk, have fun, and hang out. My top favorite place I pick is the park. It doesn’t cost money, you can get fresh air, and you get to have lots of fun. That’s my most favorite place to go with family.

My favorite activities to do with my parents are basketball, softball, and volleyball. I do basketball and softball with my dad. Then I do volleyball with my mom. I like to do sports with them because they help me how to play, and for me to get better at it.

My favorite thing to do is ride bikes with my father. On the 4th, after fireworks, my dad and I ride bikes. We ride through a good portion of the woods/road. We come home and my grandma has cooked her strawberry dessert. It’s really fun. My dad and I don’t usually get along, but on the 4th it’s different.

My favorite thing to do with my family is watch TV. My sister, little brother, stepmom, and dad all get in the living room. Mostly when it’s dinner but we watch TV and eat dinner. We usually watch whatever my dad wants, but it is fun to watch TV with my family. When we watch TV I like to watch Mountain Monsters. It’s where these people try and find different non-living creatures like Grass Man that is 800 pounds and 10 feet tall.

My favorite activity to do with my parents is gaming. The reason why it’s gaming is my dad loves to play NFL games and my mom loves old fashioned gaming like Super Nintendo, Sega, and Atari, those classics. As for me, I like to play Forza with a steering wheel and cockpit set to drive like it’s real. My new console is going to be an Xbox One with Forza Horizon 4, the new game for October 2018. My family loves to game and watch movies on my Xbox, but it broke so I’m getting a better one with a brand new headset. Sometimes I like to pay old games too, like Pacman, Mario, and a couple more. Our activity is gaming and we’re really good at it.

My favorite activity to do with my papaw is watch The Walking Dead on Netflix. I go over to his house every weekend and normally, he’ll come home, eat, and watch The Walking Dead. This show has really brought us together. It’s exciting because you never know what’s going to happen.

My favorite activity to do with some of my parents is when we have a lot of stuff to burn, we have a big bonfire. We play corn hole, horse shoot, and we just gather around the fire and talk. It’s really fun because we usually fight about stuff but when we have a bonfire, it’s just relaxing and there’s not fighting. My mom also usually gets us gifts. It’s fun to see what everyone gets. So this is my favorite activity to do with my family.

My favorite activity to do with my parents or other family member is playing basketball. When it’s summer we normally play. My little brother and I try to crossover my dad. It never works so my brother and I get better. We play on 10 feet, that’s regulation for basketball ages 6 to 18.

My favorite activity to do with my parents is to go out and eat. We like this one place called Ming Dynasty. Ming Dynasty is a Chinese buffet with all kinds of stuff. My stepdad and I get this spicy food called hibachi, my mom hates it. My favorite food there is called Kung Pao chicken, it’s also spicy. We love it there.

My favorite thing to do with my family is to go fly kites at the South Holston Dam. We go to the dam. If the wind is blowing we will fly kites, if the wind is not blowing then we try to throw rocks into the lake. We also see who cannot crash their kites the most. After we are done we go home.

My favorite activity is going to the movies. We go to the movies almost every Thursday. When we go to the movies I get candy, popcorn, pizza, and a drink. My brother used to go until he got hurt. The only people that go are me, my mom, my dad, and my granny. We just went last Thursday to watch the movie Halloween. I like that movie. This Thursday my granny won’t get to go because she has surgery. That’s my favorite activity to do with family.

My favorite activity to do with my parents is to play board games during the fall and early winter. The board games we play are Sorry, Monopoly, and a game called Trouble. All of the games we play, we always have a lot of fun. Playing board games to get through the winter season can be and always is fun if you have nothing else to do.
