When I celebrate the Fourth of July, we watch fireworks, cookout, swim, roast s’mores, and dress up really cool. That’s when I’m with my mom and stepdad. But when I’m with my dad, my stepmom, and my brothers and sister we do the same thing, but we ride the four-wheeler swim in the lake, watch movies, use sparklers, and a lot more. It’s a lot more fun too, if you asked me, it’s the best Fourth of July celebration ever!

We sometimes go to Dollywood or go swimming sometimes, a huge cook out. Maybe a feast at my mamaw’s house, roast marshmallows on a stick and go visit with my family. If something happens and we can’t, we will do it another day. There have been times that we have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I was tired and sleepy. But we have a good time and it was funny but that’s okay, I think so.

For Independence Day, my family and I dress up by painting our faces, putting on colorful shirts, and coloring our hair. My brother and I love going in to town to see friends and watch fireworks. After hanging out with friends and family, we all go to my mamaw’s house have a tasty cookout. At the cookout, we play corn hole, tag, and hide and seek. This is just some of the amazing things my family does to celebrate Independence Day.

We celebrate by having a cookout and swim in our pool and have family and friends over. After we eat we play with water balloons and eat water melon. Then we play tag a hide and go seek. We get in the pool and have a cannon ball contest, we saw a snake in our driveway and my mom ran in the house screaming. The snake was a black snake and it was about four or five feet long after all of that we wait until it gets dark we set off fireworks.

How my family celebrates Independence Day is we go to my aunts and uncles house. They live an hour and a half away from us. When we get there is so much to do. They have a big cookout corn hole riding ATVs and the best part is there in ground swimming pool. They had a trailer load full of fireworks and shot them on a hill in the field. We have so much fun with my family and friends.

My family and friends go to a family member’s house in Pennington. We eat dinner, shoot off bottle rockets and other fireworks. We talk, play around, and wait for the fireworks in Pennington to be shot off. When they shoot off all the fireworks we wait for traffic to clear out and go home.

My family usually goes to Pennington to watch the fireworks, we go at 7:00 pm and leave after the fireworks. Last year we did our fireworks, one of them did not work. And in 2016 I did not go to the park.
