JONESVILLE MIDDLE

On the 4th of July, my whole family goes to my nana’s and we have a big cook out. We eat hot dogs, steak, hamburgers, and other foods. We tell stories and play all kinds of games. Sometimes my whole family will play a few games of basketball. At night time we shoot fireworks and after the fireworks my nana makes a good dessert that the whole family loves.

On the 4th of July, 2016, my family and I went to my dad’s friend’s house. He had a fancy two-story house. It was pretty nice there. There were a lot of people, but it was still great! Until one of his dogs got loose off of its collar and started attacking the other dog my dad’s friend had. It was kind of scary. Two of my sisters and I were there. Elizabeth, she was only 9 or 10. I was only 7 or 8, and my littlest sister, Kaitlyn, she was only 6. It was scary for all of us, but they both weren’t hurt, just some bruises on the dog that was attacked. It was one of the scariest Independence Days for my sisters and me.

This 4th of July was so fun. Here let me tell you how it was like for me. First, we were going to have a cookout inside the house and the food was so yummy. We had mashed potatoes with gravy, some corn, and other yummy things. I had a whole plate full of food and laid it on the couch. Let me tell you that was a big mistake because my cousin’s big lab ate half of it when I was washing my hands. But it was funny and I laughed a lot. What a great 4th of July!

On Independence Day my family goes to the beach in Destin, Florida to a place called Baytowne Wharf. They had a fish weigh-in and this guy named Mark caught a 600-lb Blue Marlin. Baytowne Wharf had a lot of outlet stores like Under Armour, and Nike. At 10 pm they had a big firework show. It took a long time to get out of there and back to our condo because there were about 30,000 people there. It was a fun night.

On the 4th of July I go to my pappaw’s house, and my cousins come over from Kentucky. The boy’s age is 15 and the girl is 12. The boy’s name is Aiden and the girl’s name is Bella. We would eat and play. We play corn hole, baseball, basketball or really anything. We would play air soft a lot. We would ride the four-wheeler and we got a train thing and hooked it on to it. We would drive in it. I could drive or whoever wanted to. On the train there are three seats to it and on part was broken and we did not know it. We said it was fine but Aiden did not want to ride. But when we started riding again the part broke and flipped, but not with him in it! But in the afternoon we would watch fireworks. Everything was great, but not when we about killed Aiden.

When I was 2 or 3, I went to the beach on the 4th of July. There was water, sand, umbrellas, and a lot of people. If I do remember, I smelled hot dogs, hamburgers, and people yelling, having fun, and all that great stuff! What I liked to do is practice to walk, and stay with my mom or dad. That was my first time ever touching sand. It was hot too, “Ouch!” And of course last but not least, the picnic! I got my bottle of milk which I loved when I was a baby. My parents got their food which they would share. Oh, and also my big sister, she was 6 or 7, she would go and play in the saltwater and also, swim in it.
