This summer I went to Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp with my cousins from South Carolina. It was fun because they live far away. When they left, I cried my eyes out because they weren’t here for my birthday. At camp we played so many games, we stayed in a cabin and my friend Gracie Willis was scared of the bugs. It was the best summer.

My ideal camp would be swimming camp. I love to swim because it gets rid of your stress of the day/weekend. Another reason is that I strengthen my shoulders and arms. I just overall love to swim.
Zach Eads, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to summer camp. I would like to go to 4-H Camp. I don’t know what it’s about but I’m ready to find out one day. Won’t know for now.

MILLER PERRY ELEMENTARY

Last year Aug 4, 2017 was my second time going to summer camp. Zach, Tatum, my mom, and Luke, some boy on the bus Zach was friends with. We did lots of sports. I won basketball, Zach won football. The two best things I did was see the waterfall and go hiking. Then we went home. Best day at summer camp ever!
Kyleigh Mitchell, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

We were at Nolichucky River and spent the night at the river. It was just the way to go off the phone. We played at the park with my mom. It was so nice to go there. Thanks for reading.
Jaxon McClellan, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I went to summer camp, this is what I want to be at the camp. I will go to a regular summer camp next summer break in 2019. I will go with some of my school friends and some random people so I can make some new friends to hang out with in the camp. The activities are canoeing, fishing, water fights, climbing mountains, swimming, and exploring nature. When I go to summer camp it’s going to be a blast.
Danny Tran, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I went to summer camp last year. I went with my friend Titus. My father took Titus and me to golf camp. And so we went golfing and running. I will cherish the memories forever.
Austin Stininger, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

This has been one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. I went to summer camp last year. I went with friends and met other people. I went zip lining, swimming, and rock climbing. This has been really fun.
Cooper Maness, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

“Wow summer camp is huge!” That’s what I screamed in my head. It is July of 2018 and we just pulled into Bancroft Bible Camp. At first l was smiling and then I sort of frowned and said, “Mommy will I make friends?”’ and she said, “Of course!” When we went inside to sign up, I looked at all the names. I didn’t see any names that I knew. I was scared when my mom left, but when she was gone I made a lot of new friends. When we went to chapel I had to bring my Bible with me. After chapel we did a teamwork activity. After we had snack time, playtime, and then lunch. After lunch we had a 30- minute nap time and swim time. When swim time was over we went up to our cabin and changed and played again. We had chapel again after supper. We went to our cabin and went to bed. Every day was almost the same but we had different activities. The second day we went zip lining and more team work activities, third day another zip line, fourth day paintball, and on the fifth day I had to leave. Man I’m going to miss summer camp!
Sarah Hilton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

This Roy Williams Basketball Camp is the best! It was the best 3 days of my life. I went summer 2018. It was called Roy Williams Basketball Camp. It was in Chapel Hill. It was a 3-hour drive. It felt like it was 10 hours. It was in North Carolina. Theo Pinson, Luke Maye, Roy Williams, Sterling Manley, Donald Williams (3 time MVP), and Nassir Little were all there. They are all UNC players. I didn’t have any friends at first. But then I met some. Their names were Areil and Sehere. There were awesome activities like basketball, best lunch, TV, UNC warmup, watching videos of UNC, 1 on 1, and a free throw competition. We even repeated it every day. They had the best activities. The activities were my favorite part. You should totally go to this camp. It is awesome, you do everything.
Kale Creech, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

This is what my summer camp is like. I went to a church camp and it was fun. We did it just for the day. I had two of my friends there. We always tried to stay together. We played dog games outside we would draw inside. We would play capture the flag. Those are my things that I did at my camp.
Piper Adams, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The best summer camp I have seen is camp Waziyatah on TV last summer. If I could go to camp Waziyatah I hope it’s this summer after fourth grade. If I go I would like to go with my friends at school. I would love to play volleyball and I would love to swim in the lake there too. The best part about it is the blob. If I went to that camp I would love it there. It would be the best summer yet.
Maddie Lester, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I absolutely love when school is out and summer is wide open. My summer camp is at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. It’s nothing fancy. I go every year after school. I love when we go for field trips. Most of the time we would go to water parks. Sometimes we watched movies. When we are all cooled off, we play capture the flag outside. I won’t ever forget my years at summer camp and I will cherish them forever.
Gracie Stiltner, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Whoosh! A bow fires, a BB gun shoots and a canoe goes past you. This is a paragraph about a summer camp that I wish exists. The summer camp would be on September 20th. I’d love to have all my friends there. The activities would be canoeing, painting, zip lining, archery, BB gun shooting and snake holding. That would all be very nice. I hope that becomes a real camp.
Christian Lee, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The best camp ever. Two years ago I went to Virginia for a vacation. My family and grandparents went to the camp with me. When we got there the cabin was huge. The next day we went to paddle board, golf, swimming, and we were going to ride horses but it stormed. I hope I go again!
Hayden Musick, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The best summer camp ever! I hope to go some day when I’m ten. It would be in California. It would be Miller Perry and three other schools. There will be a gym, pool, forest, stage, hiking trails, and a zip line. We would do water games, Nerf wars, games, fishing, and more. It would be for a week. After that we would have all kinds of good memories.
Timothy Bonsor, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

One of the places I want to go to is summer camp. I want to go to a Nashville Adventure Camp! I want to see people from church, school, and I want to make some new friends too. I want to go hiking, canoeing, and swimming. I also want to play tetherball and volleyball. It would be really fun. I’ll get to be with my friends. It would be cool. I hope I can go to summer camp sometime after fourth grade.
Connor Bennett, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

This is my story of dance camp. I went July 7, 2017. The cool thing is my mom was a coach! I went with friends from dance class and from other dance places. I made a lot of new friends! We did a lot of activities! First we met a really good dancer! She taught us how to do a triple turn. She also got us new dance outfits! Then we went swimming. The next day we played games. Then we went to a farm to pet super cute animals! Dance camp were the best days of my life!
Lily Egbert, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I ever went to summer camp I would want these friends and activities to be there. I would want my friends Connor, Kale, Grayson, and Jaxon. We would go to 4-H Camp. We would canoe then we would play octo-ball then hike for a while. Then have an awesome lunch after that we would play basketball. Near the end of the day we would take a nap. I’m glad I will go to summer camp with my friends and maybe do those activities.
Ashton Templeton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

When I go to summer football camp I’ll have lots of memories. I hope my friends come to football camp with me. My friends and I would face each other at playing a football game or play water games. We would also practice football and shoot a bow and arrows. Last we would play tag and leave the football camp. Now I want to play football.
David Parker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

One of the things I would like to do is ride the water slide outside at camp. If I go to the summer camp I would go on the twentieth of June. I would bring my dad and grandmother. I would go to the water games and do bows and hay games. It would be so much fun to go to summer camp and have fun.
Titus Hobbs, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers
