If I wanted to go to summer camp, I would want to go to a swimming camp or to an outdoors camp. I would really like to go to the outdoors camp because people need to go outside and play with their friends. I would like to go to the lake, go hiking, and have sleepovers in a tent. Then at the end of the day, we roast marshmallows!
Mia Franklin, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would want to go fishing, hunting, and swimming. I would want to split into groups and go to the woods to see how long we can stay in our groups. I would want to fish for like, five hours.
Kasey Berry, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to a summer camp, but if I went to a summer camp I would swim, hunt, and fish all day long. I would like to swim all day long if I could because I like going underwater and seeing what is under there. I like to fish a lot because it is so much fun to fish.
Lynzie Ziehler, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would like to go to a camp where they go fishing and shooting to shoot bows and stuff like that. Plus, I like to go into the woods and look around and build stuff to play in, but the one thing that I do the most is hunting turkey and deer. I like going fishing too, and swimming and having a good time in the pool with my friends in the summer.
Adam Barber, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I went to camp I would like to go to a gaming camp. I want to go to a gaming camp because gaming is my passion. I game one and a half to three hours a day. Gaming is my passion and I love it.
Zach, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have been to cheer camp. I loved it! We first had two days to learn cheers with the Lee High Cheerleaders. After that, we practiced three days a week. When it is time for the games we all get in our uniforms and look pretty. I hope to do cheer camp again.
Hannah Jones, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

For summer camp this year, I went to a Lego camp. In camp, we were put into groups and given topics to choose from. After we chose our topics we wrote a story that matches our topic. Then we had to build Lego scenes to go with our stories. We took pictures to put in a book we were getting published in. I really liked this camp and I hope to do it again next year.
Madison Mullins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I would go to summer camp, I would like it to be like this. I would like to play baseball because it is fun and I like to run. I would like to go swimming. I would also like to go squirrel hunting. That would be my summer camp
Thomas Ely, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My ideal summer camp would be a camping camp. We would go out and camp all night. There would be a place for swimming and a place for fishing. We would go in the woods and look for fireflies to capture. I would go hunting with a rifle and try to kill a deer. Then last, go on a four-wheeler in the woods and drift and go super-fast.
Joseph Bryant, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have been to cheer camp. I loved it so much. We had to learn cheers with the Lee High Cheerleaders. Then they showed us the stunts that we had to learn. The stunts were cool and they looked hard but once I got the hang of it, it was easy.
Kaitlyn Moore, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

The ideal camp for me would be a camp with a huge lake for swimming. I would also like an RC track with a track made for dirt bikes. Archery is fun so I would like an archery range and diving and racing.
Jaden Morell, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I go to different summer camps over the years, but this year was different. I remember waking up very early on Sunday, July fifth getting ready for Boy Scout Camp. I got into the car and I was driven into a parking lot where the camp was. My classes were first aid, swimming, art, tenderfoot, and leather craft, in that order. All classes were hard in their own way. Art was the most fun. I painted, sketched, drew, and used watercolor. Tenderfoot was an adventure with an axe, hatchet, hacksaw, and fire. I earned my totem chip and firemen chip for Scouts. First aid was cool. We used a dummy and used CPR on it along with talking about heat strokes, freezing, and suffocation. Swimming was the most difficult. We had to swim from one side to the other doing sidestroke, backstroke, jellyfish, crawl, and free style along with lifting weights off the bottom of the pool and doing service dives. All classes were and I learned a lot. I had hardships along the way but I turned out okay. Next I will be back and I will learn twice as much.
Micah Perkins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I went to five camps but my favorite one is called 4-H Camp. It’s so fun. It’s a summer camp. They have a lot of stuff. There are cabins, classes, a pool, and we play foursquare. It’s so fun but we have to clean our cabin. Here are the classes: tie-dye, fish fry, animal farm, camp paparazzi, bubble art, and so much more. It’s so fun. We have a show on Thursday. It’s so fun and we have gaga ball and you can sign up for a lot more stuff like fishing and basketball. There are dances with a theme. Like, we had a theme “Under the Sea.” It was so fun and if you come you’re sure to have a lot of fun and one more thing. The staff have nicknames.
Sadie Evans, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My ideal summer camp is a football camp. I could learn to run faster. This could help me be a better players. It also could be lots of fun.
Devon Langley, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I haven’t been to summer camp. I really don’t think I will.
Koda Honeycutt, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I went to Boy Scout Camp last year. I liked to play with my friends Allen, Jimmy, and Mikah at camp. We did many activities in camp. We made bug catchers and we played games. I want to go back to Boy Scout Camp. I think it was so fun.
Shawn Johnson, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I go to Bible Camp every year. It is so fun because there is a big pool with a diving board. They have their own sport called “bacon ball” and very good food at the canteen. I made new friends. We talked and told scary stories in our dorm. Camp is very fun.
Aidan Yeary, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to camp but I would like to go. I would like to go to 4-H camp. I have heard it is fun.
Colby Helbert, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I went to Horse Camp in Giles County. I had a bad experience with a hammock at camp. My niece and I were swinging and we could not get enough wind to go so we yelled for Joslynn and Jessee to come push us. They pushed and pushed us until we flipped out. My niece Breanna fell on a rock and hurt her bottom.
Megan Pennington, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to summer camp before. I think I would go horseback riding. I would go swimming in a lake if they have one. I would bunk with a friend in the cabin. I think I would have a great time.
Alivia Collins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

When I went to summer camp I had a bad experience except for water day. For water day we had a pipe with holes in it. You would have to cover up the holes in order to get the duck to the top. When it was the last day of summer camp, we grilled out and ate ribs. Then after we ate, we went out and played volleyball, basketball, and baseball. The water day and the last day were the best days of that summer. They came and got us at JMS and took us to the camp. We would go up to the cottage and talk about what we were going to do that day. So that was my experience of summer camp.
Jordan Woodard, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to summer camp, but I have an idea of what it would be like. I think that there would be horseback riding, archery, and canoeing. That would be my ideal summer camp.
Joseph Honeycutt, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Although I have never been to a camp, I am going to give you some examples of what I think it would be like. Roasting marshmallows at 10:00 at night. Exercising and swimming in the mornings. Going on a trip to a beach and surfing or boarding. The last idea is flying a remote control airplane and getting it stuck in a tree and temporarily hitting it with a rock to get it down. Those were some of my ideas of what camp would be like.
Dalton Miles, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Two years ago I went to 4-H Camp. I had fun. We played square ball, I think that was the name. The camp was awesome but I got a little homesick; that wasn’t fun. I made a whole bunch of new friends.
Aiden Troutman, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My ideal Summer Camp is something that shows you vet skills or video gaming skills. The one that deals with animals shows you vet skills or how to treat animals that are injured. The video game camp shows you how to play different games or how to use a keyboard and mouse or a controller.
Ryley Crabtree, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I went to Emory and Henry Summer Scholars Camp. It was really cool because we had so much freedom. It was even on their college campus and we got to have a roommate and a dorm. What scared us the most is when the fire alarm went off. Still, nobody knows how it went off but it was pretty interesting.
Cadence Ely, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I went to 4-H summer camp and I had three classes. I liked two but didn’t like the other one. We were able to swim and play games too. The food wasn’t too good but it was food. Overall, camp was good.
Seth Cowden, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Summer camp is a great place to be. At summer camp you learn and discover new things. You could go on buses with your friends and take trips. People at summer camp work together to make new things and raise money for people all around the world. This is what my ideal summer camp would be.
Kaydence Seals, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My ideal summer camp is where they have hunting, fishing, target practice, and dirt bike racing. They should have an all you can eat buffet, snacks, and every drink you can think of. Already sounds fun. It should last about two weeks and you stay in tents. I hope in the future I find a camp like this.
Konner Early, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I was in summer camp, we would probably hike and stuff. We would set up tents and burn marshmallows. We would maybe have a cabin and that is all.
Tyler Eads, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I would really like to go to hunting camp and hunt deer, bear, and turkey. I like to play sports, practice swinging, fishing, climbing trees, and riding dirt bikes. I am really good at hunting deer. I also like to play games but I am a really good gamer. I make videos and I am a really big challenger.
Ellis Hammonds, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to summer camp so I wish I could go to a summer camp that you can meet a WWE superstar and go fishing all day, play basketball, and do science experiments and make explosions! Have fun.
Simon Robbins, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones
