If I could create a new holiday, it would be National Zombie Day because people would dress up like a zombie, eat zombie-like food, and act like zombies. This would be on June 12. That would be my holiday.
Daniel Moore, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday, it would be National Hot Chocolate Day because I love hot chocolate. It would be on December 20th. There would be no school that day and from 10 am to 3 pm each person could get a box of hot chocolate for free! I think this would be an amazing holiday because you get something for free and most people like chocolate.
Blake Will, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday, it would be National Chocolate Day because I love eating it. I think everyone should eat chocolate! It makes everything taste better! If we had a National Chocolate Day we could eat it all day long! I don’t know why someone wouldn’t want to have a National Chocolate Day!
Kaelyn Pendergraft, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday it would be Stranger Things Day because people could dress up like the people in Stranger Things and everyone would throw a big party.
Kendra Bledsoe, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday, it would be Recreate Your Favorite TV Character Day. Why? Well, you could dress up as your idol for one whole day. I would love to see everyone’s favorite character because it could be an animated character or a real human being. Wouldn’t that be so much fun!?
Jessie Barton, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday it would be National Cat Day because I really love cats. On this holiday everyone would celebrate cats. People could get cats off the street and help them get a home. In schools or work places, people can bring their cats with them as long as they don’t make a mess. All cat food, toys and other cat extras would be free on this day.
KK Belcher, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I could create a new holiday, it would be National Kid Day because I feel that every kid needs a break from school. Kids and teachers put in many hours a week at school. It’s very hard getting up early to get ready for school.
Ethan Gordon, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I was granted the power to make a holiday it would be called Candy Day, where we were thankful for candy. Okay, I can tell you about it. On this holiday schools get one week off. In that week kids can go to adults’ houses any time and get candy. There would also be parade where anybody could join and they would throw out candy. All grocery stores would replace their food with candy. I really wish this could be a holiday!
Ashton Templeton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I create a holiday it will be Family Day because I love my family so much. And if it was a holiday school will be out for ten days. I know some kids love school, they can go. Oh and our family has to get food for a feast. I love my family so much and I know you love your family too. What holiday would you create?
Bella Fergison, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could create a holiday it would be called Bo and Baylor Day. Bo and Baylor Day would be on December 17 (my birthday) every year. When the day comes every person named Bo gets a front row seat to a Baylor football game. Baylor is my favorite football team they play Vanderbilt in this year’s bowl game Baylor is in the Big 12 Conference. This is the holiday I would create.
Bo Burdine, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I created a holiday it would be called Hiking Day. You could hike to a waterfall. You can take pictures and you can swim at some waterfalls too. You can climb to the top of a mountain. You could also hike to a geyser and watch the water shoot up. You can do all these things with your family. If I could create that holiday I hope you would enjoy it.
Connor Bennett, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

I wonder if I can make my own holiday. If I can this is what it would be. It would be called reverse day, not opposite day It would happen on Jan. 18th. People would do everything reversed. They would walk on the hands, tons of crazy stuff. I think this day is going to be good. Have a happy time.
David Parker, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I created a new holiday it would be called Colors. On this holiday you would have to use imagination to create something for someone you care about. You would use scrap paper or cloth of any color. You could make it look like him/her and use anything you want or create their favorite thing, as long as you use your imagination on your creation. That is what holiday I would create.
Elyssa Rodefer, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I created a new holiday it would be get your junk today. The reason I would do that is because you could get all the junkie stuff for 5 dollars and under. I would by all the candy. The date would be on May 1st, my birthday. That would be my new holiday.
Emma Lawson, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

The holiday I would create would be Video Game Week or Fortnite Week. The reason I would create this holiday would be because I like video games. Also you would get out of school for a week. That’s why I would create this holiday.
Fletcher Henritze, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I were to create a holiday it would be called Wizarding Day! Everyone would get their wands, cloaks, and owls. Everyone would learn spells. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley would be involved. The sorting hat would sort us in our houses. I would be in Gryffindor. So how’s that for a holiday?
Gracie Stiltner, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could make a holiday it would be Kids Tell Their Moms and Dads What to Do Day. This is how it goes: If a kid wants something, they get it. It is like a 24 hour challenge. If they don’t, they go to court. I would tell my mom and dad to dance like a robot and get me the iPhone X. You can’t say like, I want a sleepover for a year because that’s more than a day. My holiday is better than Fortnite.
Hayden Musick, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could make a new holiday it would be called Deux Christmas. Deux means two in French and if I just said second Christmas that is kind of boring. If we did have a Deux Christmas I would be happy because of the presents and food. Also on Deux Christmas you don’t sing, and if you did you would go to jail. As you can tell I love Christmas, and I hope you have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Isaac McGee, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could create a new holiday it would have something to do with presents. It would be called Do and Get Anything Day. What happens on this day is in its name. It’s a kid’s dream day. If I could create a new holiday that’s what it would be.
Jack Litton, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could make a holiday it would be called National Teachers Day. Teachers don’t go to school but kids do. Kids could do whatever they want (it would be super wild). It’s a win-win for teachers and kids, even parents. It would be the best holiday ever
Kale Creech, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I made a new holiday I would call it Relay on Your Parents. That is what I would do every day. First make the name then do not to ask the parents. After that I would ask the kids. Then of course they would say yes. Last, it is an all-day thing. Would you do the same?
Kyleigh Mitchell, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could create a holiday it would be called “Happy Sun Day!” If you’re a little confused here’s some reasons on why I would have a holiday called “Happy Sun Day!” I would want a holiday named that because the sun does a lot of things for us like, keeping us warm and letting us have sunlight. If we didn’t have a sun our world would also be cold and dark. We would probably die without a sun, so that’s why the sun is so important. It would be terrible lives for all of us if we didn’t have a sun! I’m so glad that we have a sun!
Lily Egbert, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

It would be a little hard to come up with a holiday better than Christmas, Halloween, or Fourth of July. There are a lot of other really great holidays. So a holiday I would create is Pazlee day but that is too silly. So what I holiday I really would create is Jesus Day to thank Jesus for dying on the cross for us. We should all thank him and I cannot thank him as much as he has helped us. That is the holiday I would create.
Pazlee Roark, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

What holiday would you make if you could make one? Well that is what I am going to tell you. It is called BLOB FISH DAY! But the sad thing is you still have to go to school. On the bright side you make flags for the parade all day. The bus also takes you to the parade and watch the big blob fish balloons and a real blob fish. Last, a BLOB FISH SONG! I could go on and on but that is what I want my holiday to be.
Piper Adams, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Almost everyone loves holidays, but what if you could make up your very own holiday? What’s its name? What are the traditions? Why did you pick this idea? So let’s make a holiday! For my holiday’s name it would be Thanks-Getting (the opposite of Thanksgiving). These are my holiday traditions: 1, say what you’re not thankful for. 2, eat whatever food you want. 3, decorate the house with random stuff. 4, gifts! 5, wear costumes. I picked this idea because it’s hilarious. It comes from my favorite TV show. That’s my creation of a holiday!
Reese Hoover, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I could make a holiday, it would be called Thanks-Getting. Presents, 300,000,000,000,000 presents for everyone!! Saying what you are NOT thankful for. It would be held on February the third. Thanks-Getting would be so fun! Thanks-Getting would be something to die for.
Ryan Lick, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers
