A time I felt proud was when I made A honor roll. I felt proud because I knew when I got home my family would be so proud of me. I have been making better grades than I used to now and I feel proud that I make better grades. All my friends know me as a smart person too. I like making good grades because I know that if I make good grades I will have a better future with college and getting a good job. When I make good grades it just makes me feel proud of myself and makes me feel like I can accomplish anything. My dad always told me if I make good grades all throughout school I will have a better future. My family is really proud of me for making excellent grades they just tell me to keep up the great work, and most of all I am proud of myself.

The time I felt proud is when I got my first camera for perfect attendance (114 days!). I have already taken 17 photos and they are writable! It’s an awesome camera and I love it. I have been here the whole school year (including last year).

I’m proud of doing the 4-H competition. Why I am? Because I did not think I was going to win. Why I did not think I was going to win. First of all I was afraid that the sound system would fail. Second I did not know if the judges had good taste. Third I was scared of the competition. That is why I´m proud of winning the 4-H competition.

I felt proud whenever I helped at IGA. I am in the SGA club at Jonesville Middle School. The SGA club is supposed to help the school and make it better. Sometimes we even do community service and represent our school. In January we went to IGA to bag their groceries and carry out the groceries. We stayed there for 2 hours. We did it after school. I bagged groceries with my SGA friends. The principal and my 2 leaders for the SGA club came. I even saw my cousin. I helped these 3 young lady’s with their groceries. They gave Elijah, another SGA member, and me $3 and the other people who helped them carry out their groceries $3. I felt really proud of me but also proud of every one who helped make this happen.

I was proud at five when I had my first four surgery for C.P. I was in a wheel chair for six months. As I healed, I started to walk more and more. The whole reason I am proud is because I overcame it and now I am well on the road to beating C.P. I have a good family to help me through along the way.

I was proud when I saved my brother’s life. Because I was only a baby at the time. My mom was when she saw me save my brother’s life. So she took my brother to the hospital to see if he was OK. Well he turned out okay.

One time I felt proud of something I did was when I started writing songs. I started writing songs when I was five mostly because I was bored, often. I got help from my sister in second grade and then I got better at writing on my own. It was my greatest achievement, only around my family and friends but it is more of a hobby than a habit. I still do it, for fun I believe on day my first song that was written, seven years ago will be heard around the world, it’s just a dream though. I remember when I saved this little girls dog from getting hit by a car I am very proud of that. When my friend in seventh grade that loves writing stories didn’t win the contest I told her it was okay because she tried and she believed that’s all that mattered at that point. In third grade when I got a medal and a Shady spring Elementary Tigers award for conduct and Attendance, I’m a little proud I guess. Someone else has a better story to tell, what are you most proud of?

A time when you felt proud of yourself for doing something I am proud of myself because I am nice to people. I love being nice to people because being nice to people will get you a long way in life. Some people are not nice to people and a person like that is called a bully. A bully makes fun of people and that is why when bullies grow up people are not going to talk to them at all. It is nice to be sweet to people because when nice people grow up everyone will talk to them. Some people go through stuff at their house and sometimes they just need someone that will be nice to them and sometimes need somebody to talk to. They need a person that will build them up not bring them down they need someone that will make them happy and not make them sad. They might be going through something that will make them want to cry but you need to tell them that it is going to be alright and hug them and you need to make them happy and that is what I am proud of myself for the end.

I´m so proud of when I got a six hundred on my fourth grade math SOL. I never thought I could make such a high score. Before I took the test I practiced a speech and my facial expression if I would have made a six hundred but, I knew I wasn’t going to do anything like that. There is a person that has the same name as me so, before I got my score there was a rumor that they had made a six hundred. I was so happy when I found out I was the one that made a six hundred.

I was proud of myself when I killed my first turkey. It was a whopper. It was about as big as a desk. I killed it when I was only eight years old. Which was about three years ago. Now I don’t like turkey but my family does. My mom cooked it and they ate a lot of it. We sent the rest of it to my grandma. She loved it! I was so proud of myself!

I feel proud of something I have done recently. When me and my family went to Wilderness at the Smokies. There was an arcade and in the arcade there was a huge thing you can go on where you could try to balance on a rope. I went on it with my sister on it. I actually went on it twice. Trying to go on it was scary but I still did it because I know my sister would never let me fall. I also had a harness on but I was still afraid. Being on there was fun especially with my sister. I am very proud of myself.

I felt proud of myself when a new student came to my school. I was trying to be nice but he was being mean to me and said to get away from him. Then that day he said he was sorry that he was just upset and that he misses his school. We are kind of friends now but I never talk to him because he might be mean to me. For now, I can be nice and I can be mean. I will try to be nice but when you be mean to me I will be mean back.

One time I hit a triple in travel baseball and I was so excited! One time I was at home and I went outside and it was such a good day and like a month ago I got invited to a travel baseball team named the Dirtbags and it was a Saturday. I had a tournament and I was so excited. Then I was on the way there and I took a nap then we was there it was game time. Then we played and I was up to bat I was so nervous I would either strike out or get hit. Then it was strike one and then strike two then I looked at the ball it came in fast and I got the power that I was going to hit it with from my side and my hands and I hit it in the outfield perfectly fair ball out field then straight of the line. It was perfect first second third I thought I could make it home but it was already in the infield. Then my team mate does a good line drive and I got home and he got a double and when I got in the dugout my teammates were so excited for me and I was so happy because I got a good hit in travel baseball. Then we was on our way home and my dad and mom was so proud and then we got home. Then we enjoyed church the next day and had a good weekend.

Going to the deep end of the pool. It scared me to death, it went really deep. It had a diving board. My brother told me there was a shark waiting for me. One day I put on my big boy floats and jumped in and I was fine.

The thing I am proud about is the first time I rode my dirt bike. It was so fun to me because I got it for my birthday and it’s a dirt bike. It was pitch black outside but Joe held a light out for me. I didn’t know how to ride a dirt bike but I got the hang of it.

I was playing basketball and I blocked someone and it was so great everyone yelled OH. If they would have made that shot they would have won but I blocked them so we won. YAY.
Ashton Elliott, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I am proud to be alive. I have done things (some accidental, most of them stupid mistakes) that could have killed me. Here is one incident: I was riding bikes with my cousins and I looked back to see where they were. When I looked ahead of me I felt my handlebars wobbling so I looked at them and thought this is cool. That is where I was wrong. My handlebars veered to the left and went face first into the gravel surrounding my neighbor’s mailbox and my head hit the tee-post holding up their mailbox. It knocked me unconscious for five minutes.

The most proud moment in my life is when I went to Toys R Us for the first time. It is the proudest moment because it was my dream to go there and they took me there for my birthday when I was six and I could get whatever I want so I got lots of Wii games.

The one thing I am happy about myself is I am the oldest boy in my family. But I have a brother and he is mean.
Dakota Rogers, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I’m very proud of myself for helping my little brother to get know people. He would always sit with me or my brothers on the bus because he was scared. My little brother is not so little anymore. He will sit with other people to get to know them. I’m very glad that I taught him that and I hope other kids do it to.
Damian King, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

The thing I’m most proud of is the rope course at Wonderworks. It’s really fun but here’s the catch–I’m scared of heights. You may be thinking, “Then why did you do it?” Well, my friends were all doing it and I didn’t want to sit and wait. I’m glad I did go through because I’m no longer afraid of heights.
Emma Hobbs, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I was proud of myself when I pitched a no hitter in a baseball game. I was so happy because that was the first time that I have every pitched a no hitter. I got the game ball and they put my name and picture in the newspaper.
