A recent accomplishment I have made is making a fort at my Nana’s. They are really big. When I make the forts I use camouflage blankets. I also make bunker forts. It was really hard. One time I tried to make a castle for. I could get it to stay stable. It was a very big problem. My brother and I made all kinds of forts. Then one day, we used a broom. It stayed stable. It was very amazing. That is the accomplishment I have achieved. It was so cool. It was the best day ever.
Cash Jones, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards

A recent accomplishment I made was making a book. The book is about dog training. The main contents are training, health, and breeds. When you are training your dog they may do the wrong trick so you should use treats or toys to get their attention. I know how to teach some tricks like sit, stand, and spin. You teach sit by putting your hand in front of their face and saying sit. This is how you teach sit. Health is important because you can know if your dog is sick. You can give your dog a mini checkup if you follow these things. You need to check behind your dog’s ears. They should not be red or smell. You should check in their mouth with a flashlight. It should not be swollen. There are over 100 breeds and each one is different. For example, some dogs are big and some dogs are small. There are some dogs that are small like beagles and Chihuahuas. Some dogs are big like great Danes and golden retrievers. This is why my recent accomplishment is the book I made.

The accomplishment I have achieved is that I have learned how to do cursive. I can only write A to G but I think I have come a long way since the start. The A’s were easy, but once I was on the B’s it was pretty hard. I got it done anyway. The C’s and D’s were very easy. I messed up a couple of times, but I finally got it. Now, it is so easy. The E’s, F’s, and G’s were not any harder. I messed up a few times. The lower case F’s were so hard, but I got it done. When the G’s came it was too easy. I hardly ever messed up. These are the reasons I think I have achieved cursive handwriting.

A recent accomplishment is when I won a basketball game. When I won the game against my best friend, she had 10 points. I had 19 of them. After the game we went to the house to celebrate, but it was not a real game. I didn’t leave my best friend alone so I went to get her to celebrate because I don’t want to leave her alone by herself. It was raining there so I let her hold the basketball while I was holding the umbrella. It was the best game I ever played in my life, so I took her to the best place in Kingsport. A great place to eat is called Rush Street. These are my accomplishments. I have finished, but I am just talking about it.
Braylie Chaffin, 2nd, Hilton Elementary, Mrs. Edwards

The things I have accomplished are having a sleepover, making a pillow fort, and making a tent out of blankets. Having my sleepover was the best because we went to this farm fair. It was epic! There was a zip line, haunted house, and a corn maze. When I made my pillow fort I put in a lot of stuff like a gaming system, my laptop, and a mattress. All of that stuff is in the fort. When my pillow fort got destroyed, I made a new one. It was made with blankets. The same things are in it. The best part is I did this in one weekend.

A few weeks ago I won the talent show. They said that I was funny. I don’t think I was funny. I kind of messed up but why should I tell them—they don’t know. I didn’t have that many jokes. At least everyone had fun.
Bryan-David Vaughn, 5th, Elydale Elementary, Mr. DiVirgilio

My most recent accomplishment was teaching my dog Ziggy to use a puppy pad. Now he does his business on his puppy pad and I don’t have to pick it up anymore. Before I taught him, he would use the bathroom everywhere. I can’t think of anything else to say.
Cameron Goins, 5th, Elydale Elementary, Mr. DiVirgilio

One of my recent accomplishments is beating the final Bowzer in Super Mario 3D World. It was intense, I barely made it to the end but I used a power up that turns my character into a cat with my character’s face on it. It makes you be able to climb walls and gives me a better attack. Then I saw Bowzer used the same power up and there were four of him. He must have used three duplicating power ups. Beating him was not easy, but I beat him on my first try. Well I am sure I will have more accomplishments soon. Have a good day.
Danton Saylor, 5th, Elydale Elementary, Mr. DiVirgilio

My recent accomplishment is chasing cows. Well let me tell you a little story. Okay yesterday we had to worm the cows and my mamaw, my papaw, and I had to guard the cow. Well we have three fields. We were in the third field and we had to run it to the second field. We got it out of the third field and to the second field but we had to put the cow in the barn. It went in the woods and I had to run it away from the creek. So then, I ran through the wood and it went in the barn then we wormed it.

She makes me feel better if I’m upset and she always likes to talk about animals and I do too. We think the same way. We both like animals. We both are country. We like to play outside and have fun. If I didn’t have her as a friend I don’t know what I would do. That’s one of my accomplishments.
Hailey Middleton, 5th, Elydale Elementary, Mr. DiVirgilio
