I admire my family because they are nice, kind, and they help me a lot. My dad helps me build, my mom helps me cook (try to cook at least), and my brother helps to toughen me up. We go on the trampoline and he tells me what to do in a fight.

A person I admire is J K Rowling because she started writing when she was a teenager and continued with all seven Harry Potter books throughout the years.
Ryleigh Bays, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone I admire is my mom because she can put up with me on a daily basis and works hard to get my family money. My mom is originally from Mexico but came to the USA a while back with only some knowledge about English. Even though she still has trouble speaking and writing English, she still tries her hardest on everything she does.
Sarah Trivett, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Savannah Peaks, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I admire my best friend Savannah. She is smart, talented, beautiful, helpful, courageous, determined, and just a great friend in general. I look up to her because she helps people in need. She doesn’t give up if she can’t do something on her first try. She makes me and many other people smile, she’s really funny, and I just think that she’s a wonderful friend. If she can do it, so can you. She’s also very kind. I admire her very much.
Sofia Rosberg, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

I look up to Kyrie Irving. He is my favorite player. He has the best handles. He can shoot from a wide spread of places. He is still a little selfish but he has only won one championship. One reason I look up to him is because of the way he plays. Also, he doesn’t trash talk. I work on trying to learn his moves like the step back 3 or jelly layup.
Trent Gilliam, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone I admire is my mamaw and papaw because they are super smart. Unfortunately, my papaw died in mid-2015 because of cancer. He was in a war. If something needed fixing mamaw would fix it. They are both amazing people and we need more like them in the world now.
Trevor Chapman, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

Someone I admire would have to be my mom, she has work constantly and still finds time to take care of my three siblings and me. My stepdad works on a boat so he is constantly gone and when he is here he is only here for about two week. My mom is like my superhero because she shows me that even though times are hard, you can still be happy and find positive things in life.
Zoey Emmert, 7th, Holston Valley Middle, Mrs. Taylor

That someone for me would be J K Rowling. She is a strong female writer who is often associated with being a man due to all her success with writing a wonderful series in a land of fiction. The main ones are Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts. They were amazing books made of magic.
