Nobody really likes school, but I’m sure everyone has at least one memorable day from this school year. For me, it was the day of the Veterans Day program. We got to talk to the veterans and learn about their stories. We also got to serve the breakfast. It’s memorable for me because I got the joy of meeting all those men and women that fought for our country.
Lexie McKnight, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

The most memorable day from this school year is the first day of school. It is always exciting to see your friends after the summer. Also, you always have fun on the first day. You usually don’t do work and get to talk about the places you went and activities you did.
Jacob Eldridge, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

A memorable day from this school year would be the day we went to Lee High School. I think I honestly enjoyed it so much because it actually made me realize I was going there. I love thinking about taking any step closer to graduating!
Tate Cox, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

My most memorable school day was when the whole 8th grade went to tour Lee High School. The reason this is my most memorable day is because we got to go around to different classrooms and see what the high school environment is like.
Kamrin Bishop, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

The most memorable day from this school year was the day that we all went to Lee High. I plan to go there next year, so it was fun to learn about the various classes and buildings. I spent some time in the keyboarding and drafting classrooms, and that experience alone was enough to finalize my decision of going there. It was truly an amazing journey.
Laine Brooks, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

The most memorable day of the school year was the fall field trip. We went to the Dixie Stampede where everything is awesome. At the Dixie Stampede you have to eat with your hands. They give you a whole small chicken but without a head. The bus ride was cool, it was bouncy, funny, and fun. That was the most memorable day of the school year.
Aaron Blair, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

My name is Addie and I had my best day of school. Let me tell you about it. I went to the Dixie Stampede. They had yummy food. My favorite part was the baby pig race. They also had horses. They let us pet them. By the way those baby pigs where smaller than my hand. That’s some of my experience at the Dixie Stampede
Addie Mounger, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Here is a very memorable thing that happened this school year. My cousin and I were jumping off the stairs and we did not get hurt but my mom did. We heard a loud thump so we ran and my mom hit her head because she jumped off the stairs, the top one. She asked me am I bleeding over and over. Then the next morning I went to school and I told everyone and they asked if she was okay and I said yeah. That was the most memorable thing that happened this school year.
Anneliese Vanhuss, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

If I had to pick my most favorite memorable day from this year I would have to pick when we went to the Dixie Stampede. It so cool. They had really cool stunts. My favorite part was when the woman’s horse jumped through the ring of fire. Their food was good too, they had fried chicken. So what’s your most memorable day this school year?

Do you have a memory you can’t forget from your school year? I have one, I just can’t get out of my head. It started out as a normal P.E day. The coach decided we would do volleyball. I’m bad at volleyball. I was passing a volleyball back and forth with my friend Izzy. I hit it too low. It bounced off the net, hit me in the face, and knocked my glasses in a weird position. After about ten minutes of laughing we decided it wasn’t that funny. That’s my favorite memory from school.
Casey Rutley, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

My favorite day of school was when Mrs. Wheeler was our substitute because she is nice and just like a kid. Also she is fun and helpful! Now she is awesome, she plays basketball with us. That’s what my favorite day of school was and remember to keep reading the Kingsport Times News.

A moment you loved and cherished. Some of those moments happen at school, so I’ll tell you my favorite moment this school year. The day I was so happy making the Clover Bowl team, I was studying at least three or two weeks top. The day came and I was so nervous. I was thinking, would all my time and effort be worth it? Then the round they were picking from I wasn’t in it, I was starting to tear up. The teacher said come over here and she said that I was on the team already. I went home excited, ready to tell my mom. She said, “Did you make the team?” I said, “Yes!” We both were so happy and I still am on the team as well as having the honor to be team captain.
Colton Burgett, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Do you have any fun or memorable memories this year! Mmmm… found one, do you want to hear it? Well on March 27 this year it was my birthday! First, we invited family over. Then, well, the night before we baked a pie and let me tell you that pie tasted like heaven. When some of our family came over we talked, played family games, and we ate food. I hope you have memorable moments this school year!

What’s your most memorable moment this year? Mine is the day I made the Clover Bowl team. The Clover Bowl is a group of 4 kids that study to compete against other teams. I am so excited for our first competition. My parents and I make the studying fun. We do it like the real thing, we compete against each other. This was the most memorable moment this year. I hope you have lots of memorable moments too.
