I can’t wait to put up the Christmas decorations. I love to put the Christmas tree, and I love to put the ornaments on top. I love the live Nativity scene my church does too. Watching “Home Alone” and “Polar Express.” It’s a beautiful season. “Tis the season to be jolly.”

Christmas time is a time of snow, hot cocoa, Christmas trees, and presents. I’m extremely excited to see my family. I mean, after all ‘tis the season.
Lexie McKnight, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I am looking forward to so many traditions this holiday season, such as making gingerbread houses, decorating, exchanging gifts, and Santa coming to town. I love making gingerbread houses with my family and then eating it! Decorating for the season can make everything more festive. I love seeing people’s facial expressions when they receive a gift, and who doesn’t love Santa?
Kylee Honeycutt, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

“Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!” I am looking forward to the white, puffy snow. I chose this because of the various activities you can do in it, and of the joy it holds. The activities are amazing and will be memorable for years to come.

Winter break is something all students look forward to. It is a time to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. One thing I look forward to the most is getting together with my family. It’s a time that we play games, eat food, and have fun.
Kylee Phillips, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

There are lots of activities to do during holiday break. However, my favorite of these activities is sleeping in. More sleep makes it easier for you to wake up in the morning, ensuring that you won’t be tired during the day. Sleeping in is much easier on holiday break, since you don’t have to worry about school the next day. Sleeping in is one activity that I think everyone can agree is fun.
Tyler Garwood, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

My favorite thing about Christmas break is spending time with my family. Family is the most important thing to me because I never get to see them because of school and sports. So that’s why I like Christmas break.

The snow is falling, almost every home is full of lights, and the sales are all starting. It’s Christmas time, the time of the year that students love. Over this holiday break, I hope to visit family and relax at home. I love visiting family because they all live six to eight hours away and who doesn’t like relaxing?
Waylon Ball, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

During my holiday break I will enjoy being with family. And we also have a big dinner. During our holiday break we also get gifts too.

I am most of all looking forward to the presents and the time I get to spend with my family. Christmas break is always my favorite because it is two whole weeks! Usually snow falls during Christmas and it makes things so much more enjoyable. I could go on and on about everything I’m looking forward to, but I’ll stop here.
Tate Cox, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

There are many activities you can jump into while on a holiday break. I am looking forward to just relaxing. School puts a lot of stress on kids, they are always on the go, but during a break you get to sleep in, stay up later, and spend time with family or friends.
Nicole Fee, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I look forward to many things this holiday break. The first thing, and probably the one I look forward to the most is all the sleep I’m going to get! I also look forward to spending time with my family.

People are excited for breaks for several reasons. I enjoy them for many reasons also, but I enjoy one of these more than others. Everyone loves kicking their feet back and doing absolutely nothing. I look at this as a time to relax and rest.
Jace Perkins, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

Honestly, the thing I’m most looking forward to this holiday break is stress relief. Homework, sports, clubs, and afterschool activities take up a lot of you time in eight grade, so breaks are important stress relievers. Stress keeps me from enjoying life sometimes so I’m really looking forward to the break!
Ryan Middleton, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

Like most kids, I am overly excited for the holiday break. Not only do I get to stay home and spend time with family, but I get to enjoy Christmas with no stress! School isn’t terrible, but sometimes a lot of work and getting up so early can cause stress. Getting to sleep in and enjoy Christmas stress-free would have to be my favorite part of the holiday break. Plus, you can watch all of your favorite Christmas movies every day!
Kamrin Bishop, 8th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I’m mostly looking forward this Christmas break is getting to be with my family on Christmas. I think so because you get to share and express love to one another. Every Christmas Eve I’m with my dad then at night I go to my mom’s and on Christmas morning I’m with her. Then later that day I’m with my dad. So then I feel like I get even more love from each parent. That’s why I’m looking forward to Christmas break. What about you? What are you looking forward to this Christmas break?
Samantha Lane, 6th, Weber City Elementary, Mrs. Sanders

For this holiday season I am excited for Christmas! This Christmas is going to be my nephew’s first Christmas. He won’t know what’s going on because he is only a few months old, but it will still be fun. On Christmas we wake up and eat a good breakfast than we will open presents. Then family will come over around lunchtime. At dinner more family comes over, eats dinner, and then opens more presents. I am very excited for Christmas!
Naomi Castle, 6th, Weber City Elementary, Mrs. Sanders

I’m looking forward to having a time off from school. I am excited for time off because I can lie in my bed and binge watch Stranger Things. Also I can have a sleepover with a bunch of my friends. My favorite part of Christmas break is Christmas! Christmas is my favorite holiday because it is Jesus’s birthday. My favorite holiday is Christmas what’s yours?
Abby Hill, 6th, Weber City Elementary, Mrs. Sanders

The thing I’m most excited about Christmas break is Christmas. My family opens one present on Christmas Eve before we go to bed, then we open the rest on Christmas Day. After we open our presents, we go to my mamaw’s house and eat Christmas dinner and open more presents. After we eat and open presents, we just sit and talk or watch some Christmas movies my papaw recorded on the TV. When it gets late, we decide it’s time to head home and we leave. I can’t wait until Christmas!
Olivia Smith, 6th, Weber City Elementary, Mrs. Sanders
