Every time my family celebrates the Fourth of July, this is what my family does on the Fourth of July. The Fourth of July is when my family celebrates this country’s freedom and it will be at my family friend’s house is where my family will celebrate. My whole family is going and some of my pre-K friends are going and some random kids to make new friends to hang out with and have fun with them. The activities are fireworks, red, white, and blue flags waving in the air, BBQ, picnics, decorating the house red, white, and blue, parades, family and those are all the activities that my family does on the Fourth of July. Every time I celebrate the Fourth of July it’s always a blast.

July the 4th is awesome! Wow biggest firework ever! It was Kingsport, Tennessee July 4th 2018. There were a lot of people there. There were my sister, my brother, my mom, my dad, my friend, another family and me. The other family was super funny. There were ten people there. I thought there were a hundred people. We did a lot of things like fireworks and every time a firework shot I jumped into the pool. We put at least twenty USA flags up. We had a lot of food! Everything was red, white, and blue. I played football like all day long. This was the best July 4th ever.

I know this might make a few people mad that I didn’t do this much but, I know I remember we didn’t do this much often. But for the Fourth of July we put up the American flag up sometimes. Also sometimes when I was little we saw fireworks. I wear red, white, and blue those times! I can’t remember everything but I do remember being with my mother and someone who is not my favorite. Let’s get back to the story. We were near a high school or it might have been a middle school. Well when it was time for the fireworks when it started, well I was very young so I was scared of the fireworks, I think? Also I remember before the fireworks started, a lot of people were there. I mean a lot! But after all of the fireworks, we went home. We didn’t do this often so I can’t remember if we did it that much again.
Olivia Fraley, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

Boom, boom, boom. My favorite thing to do during summer is to celebrate Fourth of July. I go to the beach on the Fourth of July. My sister goes with me and my cousin goes with me and my Nene and papaw go with me and last my uncle and aunt go and that’s who goes with me. What we do is we lie on the beach and watch the fireworks. We go to the pool and get a tan. I wear red, white, and blue. This is the thing, I really like to spend time with my family. I really like this too when we go out to eat with my family. Boom, boom, boom, I’m going to get back to the fireworks, bye.

“Let’s party, it’s Independence Day!” I shouted to my parents, who were asleep. “Go back to bed,” my mother said. “I can’t wait, I just can’t,” I said, “We have all day, we can’t just sit around and do nothing. It’s about spending time with our family!” “Okay, okay. Let’s get ready.” “How about Dollywood…does that sound good and maybe have a cookout with your friends from school?” “Yes! That’s perfect!” Minutes later, we got to Dollywood (as you know) we rode rides, played water games, and watched fireworks. “Are you having fun?” “Of course I am!” I said happily. “I’ll never forget this. Family is key. I love you America!”
Reese Hoover, 4th, Miller Perry Elementary, Ms. Jeffers

”It’s the Fourth of July!” I yelled. My sister was taking me to my Aunt Cristy’s house for the family cookout. We have a cookout every year with my Aunt Cristy, Uncle Reggie, my cousins, and a bunch of relatives but I can’t remember their names. The cookout has red, white, and blue, bean bags and food! (Which I love). And before I knew it the Fourth of July was over. ”Goodbye Fourth of July,” I said while yawning. “’Until next year.”

Fourth of July my family and I always go to watch fireworks. And we eat s’mores, play games, and play in the dark. And we play with the small fireworks that you can draw with in the air. And we all wear red, white, blue and crazy shoes, pants, and shirts. The food is the best part. My mom and stepdad always make the best food ever. And the thing I like most about 4th of July is being with my family. And I thank God for everything and for 4th of July.
