I went to 4-H for the summer. I had a lot of fun. I got to learn about horses and how you take care of them. On the last night, you get to stay up until twelve or one o’clock.
Ethan Ziehler, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I’ve never been to summer camp or any kind of camp to be exact. I’ve never really liked the fact of going somewhere, making a whole bunch of new friends, and not being able to see them again. So I guess camp isn’t really my thing but if I went, I’d probably just go for the crafts because I love making stuff!
Emily Kirk, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I’ve never been to summer camp. This is what I would like to do in camp. I would take archery classes because it calms me down. Then, I would go fishing because what’s camping without fishing! Then, I would go to a pond or lake and go swimming. Finally, I would explore and go to sleep.
David Miles, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I have been to summer camp before; the camp was called 4-H Camp. I loved it so much. We stayed overnight for 5 days. You could choose from a plethora of different classes, from baking to sewing and even farm animal care. They had it all. However, that’s not what 4-H was about. 4-H Camp is about making new friends, developing important life skills, and respecting nature and others around you.
Mia Jerrell, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I’ve never been to summer camp, but this is what I would do. I would take swimming and archery. I love to go swimming and do archery. I think summer camp would be a fun experience.
Emma Clontz, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

I went to 4-H Camp last year. It was a lot of fun. The people were very nice. I got to feed some of the animals. We would have campfires every night. It was the best week of summer.
Alyssa Lewis, 7th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Brooks

If I went to a camp, I think that it would be an overnight camp with campfires, fishing, and archery. The best part would be the lake it would be so fun. I would take all my friends. I’m sure we would all love it.
Malachi Langley, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Mount Michigan Camp was fun. We did a lot of stuff. We played capture the flag. When it got nighttime we would go up to our cabins and talk until Jay walked in. Then we fell asleep. When we woke up we would read our Bible and then eat breakfast then go clean the camp. When we got done with cleaning the camp we would do art. We made cool stuff like lightning strike a tree. I loved it. Then we did surprise hour. We ate cookies around the campfire. Then at 9:00 we went back to the cabin and fell asleep.
Damian King, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I love camps. I have been to one, it is called Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp. It is a place so magical, and fun! When you are there you play games, learn about God, and much, much more! I loved it when I went. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
John Galloway, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to camp, but my ideal camp would be 4-H Camp. I have never ridden a horse or gone camping. I was hoping to do those things and play with my friends. I also want go swimming and other things too.
Alicia Spires, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I do not have any recollection of any time I’ve went to camp and so I don’t know what summer camp is like. I think it would be like this: it would be fun activities. I think also it would be lots of good food.
Tyler Muncy, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I went to a summer camp I don’t know where it would be but, I would like it to have guns, archery, swimming, rock climbing, and fishing. I hope that I make lots of friends and hope the camp has good food. I want the camp to have competition and it to be called Camp Cool Kids.
Owen Grace, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

When I get to go to summer camp I would want it to have a lake so I could go fishing. I would also want it to have canoe to ride around on the lake. I would like the camp to have an ATV. I would want to make new friends and have fun. That’s what I would want in a summer camp.
Wesley Honeycutt, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I want to go to 4-H camp. The reason I want to go is that they have horses. You get to go swimming, hiking, horseback riding, and you get to do outdoor stuff. You get to make stuff out of nature. I think you can zip line through the woods.
Emily Stewart, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have been to 4-H camp. It is fun. We have classes every day at camp. They also have lots of activities like gaga ball, soccer, kickball and foursquare. You stay the week but you get to see your friends and you have a good time.
Finn Grout, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I went to a summer camp I would want it to have a water slide with a pool. We would have pizza every day and sleep in tree houses.
Faith Arney, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I ever went to summer camp I would want to ride bikes and go hiking. I would like to make fires and hang out with my friends if they come too. I would like to go fishing in a lake.
Cayden Brock, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I ever go to summer camp, I want to ride horses and I want to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. That would be awesome! I really hope I get to see a bunch of cool animals. The thing I want to do most is ride horses. It will be amazing!
Kennedy Coleman, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Well I don’t really like camps, but if I had to go to one of them I would go to a singing camp. It’s my dream to be on The Voice. So I really think it would help with that. I also love baking so a baking camp would be fun. Honestly if any of these camps were real I don’t know if I would go to them.
Emma Hobbs, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I’ve never been to summer camp before. I’ve been to day camp before. It was really fun which was very exciting, I thought. I would never like to go a day and night camp. I always want to be at home to sleep with my brother and sister.
Hannah Blair, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I think camp would be better if it had hockey. Why, because hockey is a fun game and a lot of people like it. My favorite team is Nashville Predators. Football is also a good and fun sport a lot of people like to play. Soccer is also a fun game to play with friends and at camp because it’s a nice friendly sport for people to play with their friends because there’s a lot of room for people to play and kids and adults of all ages can play because there are different positions and it’s the least likely sport were you get hurt. Baseball is also a really good sport for a camp because it’s another fun game you can play with some friends.
Daniel Sprinkle, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have been to three different camps before: football, baseball, and basketball. I think all of them were very good and I learned a lot of different stuff. I hope to go next year and I also hope a lot more people come next year.
Ethan Pennington, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to camp. If I ever go it will be an archery. I would like to go sometime. I would like to go to fighting camp. And we can fish, hunt, and swim. If I went camping I would probably like it.
Jacob Childers, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My camp was called Camp Jubilee. Camp Jubilee was in Tazewell, Tennessee, and the whole area was extremely big! They had water slides, zip lines, rock walls, two pools, gaga ball, putt-putt, and a lot of other things, but my favorite was swimming and archery. The camp was my home sweet home for four days and I wanted it to stay that way. In my case, it was the best four days of my life. I will never forget them.
Hailee Michael, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I ever went to a camp I would like to go to a day camp. I do not like staying away from home. The kind of camp I would like would be a horse camp where you get to ride horses and learn about different animals. I love horses and if there was such a camp I would go to it.
Mikah Woliver, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

My ideal summer camp is swimming in pools, hiking, and having lots of fun. I would love to go to camp but I was on vacation when camp started! I will definitely go to summer camp this year!
Kaylee Roberts, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I go to Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp. It is spectacular! We do games, crafts, chapel, campfires, cabin time, hiking, water days, and canteen. If you stay overnight you get to go to a cabin all week and have your own bunk! Overall, I just love Covenant Mountain Mission Bible Camp!
Gracie Willis, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I’ve been to Covenant Mountain Bible Mission Camp. It’s a great camp. They do crafts, games, stories, and a bunch of other stuff. I would recommend you go there because it’s fun and so close to Jonesville. A bus comes and picks you up at Jonesville Middle, other places, and schools. It’s a great camp and you need to go.
Grier Crabtree, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I could picture a perfect summer camp on the first day we would shoot at targets and go fishing all day long. Then the next day we would ride four-wheelers in the woods and later that night we would roast marshmallows and hot dogs around a fire. By then I would be ready to go home and cuddle with my little puppy.
Jacob Marcum, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

I have never been to summer camp, but if I did I would want it to be like the Jakes event all summer. You get to do archery, shotguns, riflery, and learn about trapping and forestry and it is so much fun. You get to go on trails. One trail we went on was the hunter’s trail. Mikey Depp lay on the ground all day until all the groups came by. We got to see wildlife and much more it was so fun seeing all of my friends and family have fun. All the people there were so nice. I am glad that they made Jakes possible because I made a lot of new friends and I found out that someone I grew up with for 13 years and he just introduced me to him for the first time. I am looking forward to this year and I am so excited to see what they have planned this year.
Cassidy Thomas, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

If I have ever went to summer camp, I would go swimming, shoot boiling arrows and go zip lining. I think it would be fun to go to a summer camp. Once, I did go zip lining. I almost thought I was going to die but after I got off I was screaming, “I survived”.
Colin Bostic, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones

Summer camp is a great place to go. My idea camp is 4-H camp because they have swimming, shooting, and animals that you can ride. The cool thing about 4-H is you can go fishing and hunting which is my favorite thing. Also, you can choose to sleep outside in a tent or sleep in a log cabin.
Summer Stapleton, 6th, Jonesville Middle, Mrs. Jones
